I'm a huge fan of the Community Interviews we run here. They're an idea we kind of lifted from the glory years of Slashdot (for you old nerds out there) and they're a great way to not only give readers a direct line to recruits and other Ohio State luminaries, but the structure of the interviews easily surfaces the best questions.

With that said, I'm pumped to announce a Community Interview with legendary former coach Earle Bruce, whose new book, Buckeye Wisdom: Insight and Inspiration from Coach Earle Bruce, is available now.

Buckeye Wisdom: Insight and Inspiration from Coach Earle Bruce

It's an enjoyable, quick read that touches on themes in life and football: winning and losing, success, and teamwork. Bruce also reflects on his time as an assistant with Woody Hayes and many other topics, including:

  • His Ten Commandments of Football for high school and college players
  • Reflections on the assistant coaches who worked for him, including Pete Carroll, Nick Saban and of course, Urban Meyer
  • A look back at November 17, 1987 – the Monday of Michigan week and the day that marked Earle Bruce's last season as head coach of the Buckeyes

So, now's your chance to ask Earle Bruce the question you've always wanted to ask him. I'll leave this open for a couple of days and then stop back to collect the top-rated questions – as voted on by comment – to pass on to the man that owned the Wolverines in the 1980s.
