does anyone know when the magazine hits shelves? its a great read, and has some good info if you gamble on college football.

Dustin Fox was our leading tackler as a corner.... because his guy always caught the ball.

FWIW... Duron Carter made his 3rd team WR Preseason All-SEC

Shazier's is about right. He was very good for a young linebacker last year but he made plenty of mistakes to go around with that outstanding play. Roby appeared to be slightly more complete and that is what makes his 4th team snub more shocking.

I don't always take names when I kick ass but when I do, they most often belong to a Wolverine.

6 corners better than Roby?  Not sure why Shazier is getting 45% of the vote.  He is a physical specimen, yes, but he had limited time at LB last year and was on special teams most of the year.  Does that mean he won't have a Laurinitis or AJ Hawk type of sophomore season? No, but that's about right for the limited time he's had at the position.  That said, I'll be shocked if he's not 1st or 2nd team all-conference by season's end.

I agree with your assesment. Shazier - while a fan favorite to Buckeye Nation, myself included - did play limited minutes last year. Roby on the other hand, was a difference maker from start to finish and far exceeded all expectations. No way there are six corners in the league better than Roby. I'm not sure how this one is even close...

I think people are just infatuated with his raw skill and his added strength in the off-season.

Regarding "snubs" I think Redstorm has nailed it.  On the other hand, was anybody else surprised to see CJ Barnett as a 1st teamer?

I just want all of them to wildly exceed expectations, especially Mewhort and Linsley. That would make for a better than expected offensive line, and make Braxton's life easier. Which hopefully would translate into points on the board. It would also show Meyer's ability to motivate an O-Line that was not so motivated before he came to town.

Has Linsley done anything to prove himself besides beating out a freshman? I was surprised to see him on this poll.

Shazier is not proven yet, but I think most fans have lofty expectaions of him.

Linsley beat out Brian Bobek (and Jacoby Boren) for the center position that most considered Bobek a lock to nail down post-Brewster. And now Bobek is said to be transferring. I don't know if he's proven anything, but he must be doing something right to earn the starting center spot.

Biggest snub may be CRAIG JAMES KILLING 5 HOOKERS WHILE AT SMU!..... Eric Dickerson said it was way more.

Dustin Fox was our leading tackler as a corner.... because his guy always caught the ball.
