When I was younger, and trying to figure out what to do with my life, I had two primary options:
- Go into the sciences (I geeked out on biology at a very young age).
- Go into the arts (I was, by all accounts, an excellent artist and started selling my art at the age of 12).
I graduated from Ohio State in 1998 with a degree in Zoology and am currently making a living as a partner at a biological consulting firm in southern California.
I am trying to develop an alternative career now in the field I went away from. I've just completed a new website showing samples of my work at http://art.mcengland.com. I invite you to check it out, and assuming you don't have other artist friends ahead of me, recommend this fellow Buckeye you "know" if the need for art or illustrations arises. I am also looking for good networking opportunities in the industry, as all I really know is biology and consulting.
