I would like to submit that every, and I mean EVERY, Cub fan should pen a letter apologizing to Steve Bartman for the years of abuse he has taken. He was held as a scapegoat for a scenario that 99.99999% of all people would have done the same thing had they been in his place, in that stadium, on that date.

Let's not forget to mention the other guy (gray jacket with blue stripes) was also involved but escaped any criticism because the focus quickly fell to Bartman.
It is shameful how the entire Cub fan base blamed this poor young man when it was evident they were doing a fine job of blowing it all on their own that day.

The Cub fan base, the owners of the Cubs, and all players that have cussed him all these years owe an honest and sincere letter. Lastly, in Chicago he should never have to pay for a meal or drink.... ever.
