Both stories can be seen on espn. the NFL has decided to suspend Peterson for the remainder of the season, yet the NFL just reinstated Dallas Cowboys DT Josh Brent, who was convicted of intoxication manslaughter, when he killed fellow teammate Jerry Brown in a car accident.
This past season has been quite the up roar for physical abuse around the NFL, with very stiff penalties and bans. However, the league continues to down play the significance of drunk driving, and in this case the death of a fellow NFL player.
Although both are bad situation I find it interesting why the league would ban players for physical abuse, yet have and equal or lesser stance on manslaughter conviction.
