The Crew have just announced they have signed a new TV deal with Time Warner Cable.... Yes you read that right. They didn't sign a deal with a TV network like ESPN or NBC sports or FOX Sports Ohio (their old partner), they signed a deal with a whole cable provider.
What does this mean? Well, it means you have to have TWC in order to watch the game with basically no exceptions. The games will be broadcasted on Time Warner Cable Sports Channel and blacked out within a 75 mile radius of Columbus on every other channel (MLS Direct Kick and MLS Live).
Long story short, no Time Warner Cable = No Columbus Crew games on TV.
Obviously, people aren't happy... including me. I have DirecTV and I am NOT going to switch to TWC for Crew games... I've had TWC before and it wasn't great.
Anyway, enough of my ranting... Anyone else care to rant?
