Found an interesting recruiting article on SBNation. A whopping 68% of Ohio State's recruits over the last four years have "Blue Chip" (4 or 5 stars) recruits, which is second only to Bama who has signed 73% blue-chippers in the same time period. Great article with a lot of interesting stats. Surprisingly, overall the B1G is third out of the major conferences in blue-chippers at 18.6%.  Check it out.

Troy was a 4 star on Rivals and Scout.

"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.

Every BCS champion since recruiting rankings could be accurately tracked (2005, or four classes after Scout joined Rivals in rating players) has met a benchmark: it's recruited more blue-chips (four- and five-star players) than lesser-rated players over its four previous signing classes.

You're not Angry, just a little logical.

Malcolm Jenkins and James Laurinitis are a few others that flew under the radar as 3 stars

Except OSU can do it without cutting injured or underperforming players.

And without putting them on salary, as well.

Not sure why people always bring up the "3 stars can be stars too" argument when post like this are made. Anybody who follows Ohio State football knows this (or college football in general).
