Now that the 2020 NFL Draft is completed, I thought it would be interesting to go into the 11W archives every once in a while to find the old "gray box" articles citing the commitment of a Buckeye great. Our first subject will be college football's latest Heisman winner, Joe Burrow.

At the time of his commitment, Burrow was the top rated QB in the state of Ohio, but nationally was ranked as the 16th best dual-threat QB in the country, and was listed as a 3-star recruit.

Reading the comments will take you on a nostalgia journey, for better or worse. You'll find forgotten, but still hilarious, old gifs such as Kenny Guiton dancing in sweats and a hoodie; old 11W faithful that haven't used the site in ages; and being reminded that at this juncture in time, Burrow was going to be competing with Torrance Gibson to be the next great Buckeye signal caller.

One last thing: in one of the earliest comments, House804 claimed that Burrow, as a 3-star QB from Ohio that wore #10, would certainly win a Heisman. This was no doubt a nod to Troy Smith, but even with the comment's sarcastic nature, House804 almost certainly never expected his comment to be so prophetic.
