B1G

B1G WORK
The conference picked up 10 new commitments this week. The schools adding 2016 commitments were Iowa (2), Maryland (2), Penn State (2) Nebraska, Michigan State, Minnesota and Rutgers.

MOVING ON UP
Minnesota, Purdue and Iowa moved up in the rankings this week. The Hawkeyes made the biggest move going from 13th to 8th.

BIGGEST LOSER
Rutgers picked up a commitment from quarterback Anthony Russo, but fell three spots due to his .818 composite ranking. The Scarlet Knights went from having a .844 comp. rating down to .839 and fell three positions in the B1G rankings down to number 12.

Ferentz B1G Coach of All-Time

Kirk Ferentz and the Hawkeyes added two commitments. Iowa now has 4 commits for 2016.

SUBTRACTION BY ADDITION
Six of the seven teams getting a commitment this week had their overall composite rating drop. Iowa was the only team that had its composite rating improve after adding strong-side defensive ends Cedrick Lattimore and Chauncey Golston. The three star defensive ends are teammates at East English Village Prep in Detroit.

A LITTLE BREATHING ROOM
The Buckeyes' lead over Penn State grew a little bit after the Nittany Lions comp. rating slipped 17 points this week. This week Penn State added Dublin offensive Tackle Alex Gellerstedt (.842) and tight end Daniel Dalton (.871). The new additions dropped the Nittany Lions composite rating 17 points. Ohio State now leads .924 to .906.
