Urban Meyer

Urban Meyer brings the heat on the mound and on the recruiting trail.

Apologies to those who read this before it went to Blog Heaven.

THE RICH GET RICHER
Urban Meyer had a week of ups and downs. Throwing out the first pitch at Yankee Stadium = UP. Having appendicitis = DOWN. Adding three more commits and leading the B1G with a total of 15 = UP. To put the 15 commitments in perspective, Minnesota is second in the B1G with 8 commitments.

MOVING ON UP
None of the teams in the B1G made huge moves. However, a total of five teams moved up one spot. The teams that moved up one place were That Team, Michigan State, Minnesota and Purdue.

What the?

I don't know what this is a picture of, but somehow it is telling me that the Cornhuskers are this week's biggest loser.

BIGGEST LOSER
Nebraska picked up two new commits this week, but it came at a price. The Cornhuskers went from having a .902 composite average all the way down to .850 and fell three positions to number six.

SUBTRACTION BY ADDITION
Ohio State and Minnesota were the only other schools in the B1G to gain commitments last week. Unfortunately, both schools had their comp. averages drop. The Buckeyes went down .007 points and the Gophers lost .011 points.

THE LEAD SHRINKS
Ohio State picked up three commits last week, but the new recruits brought the Buckeyes comp. average down to .924. That results in the Buckeyes' lead over Penn State shrinking to .002. One highly ranked recruit for the Nittany Lions or a lower ranked recruit for the Buckeyes will result in a new leader.

TWO RANKING LISTS
The first list is based on each school's average composite rating. Think quality over quantity. The second list is based on each school's total composite points.

Michael Jordan

OT Michael Jordan committed to Ohio State this week. Thomas was the highest rated recruit to commit to a B1G school this week. That Team's fans were not happy.
