Suck it Saban.

Suck it Saban.

Apologies to those who read this before it went to Blog Heaven.

Ohio State defeated Alabama 42-35 in the Sugar Bowl. How have the Buckeyes fared against the Tide in recruiting since 2012? Over the next couple of weeks I will compare Ohio State's and Alabama's recruiting by position during the Urban Meyer era.

Between 2012 and 2015 Ohio State signed 5 safeties and Alabama signed 5 safeties.

The Buckeyes and Tide were able to sign many of the country's best at the safety position. Vonn Bell and Erick Smith enable Ohio State fans to rest easy at night when thinking about the back end of the Buckeyes' defense.

Vonn Bell

Vonn Bell made a critical play in the Sugar Bowl to help secure Ohio State's victory. Bell hinted that Lane Kiffin raising his arms tipped him off that it was a pass.
