Its sad state of affairs when Thad Matta feels like he has to do something like grow a beard to motivate his guys to compete.

Tate and Russell are the only guys I see who look like they love playing and competing every night. They don't back down and never stop trying. It's make me a little sick to my stomach that the underclassmen have come in and "shown up" the returning players on a nightly basis. 

Show a little pride and faith in yourselves, seniors!  A group of young freshmen have come in and totally exposed you all as a group.  It shouldn't take Thad having to do something silly and desperate to motivate you all to play. 

P.s. Looking forward to seeing Tate the next few years.  6"4 230 great athlete and intensity.  Why isn't he on the football field btw?
