Army-Navy Game and the College Football Playoff

Last week, the ADs at the U.S. Naval Academy and U.S. Military Academy publicly stated they have no intention of moving the annual Army-Navy Classic football game from its spot the second weekend in December.  This was only newsworthy, because the game is played one week after Conference Championship weekend and the College Football Playoff committee's bowl assignments.

Clearly no one considers Army or Navy as a potential CFP contender at this time.  But if they were, the CFP committee insists they must finish their season prior to Selection Sunday or risk forfeiting consideration for a CFP spot.

As a Navy homer, I always hold out hope for the Midshipmen to be a major bowl contender, and they've come close in recent years.  2015 will be the Mids' first season in the AAC with a schedule that includes ECU, ND, USF, Memphis (AP #25 last year), and Houston.  Would an undefeated Navy team from a Group of Five conference even be considered for the CFP?  If they were, should they move the Army-Navy game, or should the CFP Committee give them an exception and withhold final selection until the game ends?
