According this article in the USA Today, Weis is still the highest paid coach at Notre Dame, despite the fact that he taken three different coaching jobs after leaving Notre Dame. More than likely, he is in the final year of his $2.1 million annual payment from his contract at Notre Dame. On top of that, he likely collected in the neighborhood of $2.4 million on his Kansas contract this year and still has another year of payments left.
It seems that Weiss will make in excess of $4.5 million this season for not coaching two different teams. Not a bad deal. And probably somewhere in the top 8 in college football this year.
