So excluding SEC teams MSU has played 0 power 5 teams. The teams they have beaten have beaten a total of 2 power 5 teams with Auburn beating Kansas State (decent team) and Wisconsin (decent team). Now the question I really have how can people call this the number one team in the country? Their resume has not been impressive at all. The can brag about beating 3 straight top ten teams but only one of them is currently ranked in the top 10.
Abridged Version
The SEC is very overrated this year and MSU has done nothing to warrant them being the number 1 team in the country.
