Playboy has announced that Hugh Hefner has died at the age of 91.
He was a groundbreaker in many ways.
He quit Esquire magazine and founded Playboy magazine in 1953 with $8,000 raised from 45 investors.
He was known for giving minorities help in their careers, including comedian/civil rights activist Dick Gregory, who credited Hugh with helping start his career.
He often pushed the envelope and fought legal issues. Big supporter of free speech. He built a worldwide brand with girls, music, tv shows, and more.
