In less than 24 hours, I will be running the Mohican 100 Trail Run. I will be honest: I'm scared. I flew in to Columbus on Tuesday, and yesterday felt really, REALLY hot to me. After living in Southern California for 12 years, I'm no longer accustomed to humidity. My mom will be my crew for this race, but she's never done anything like this before. I wish my wife had come out, as she's particularly insistent that I don't give up in these things. When I dropped at mile 50 of the Angeles Crest 100 two years ago, she actually wouldn't talk to me for a week.
I will promise that as long as I stay healthy, I will be on the course until I either finish, or someone says I missed a time cut-off at an aid station and they pull me off.
