Alabama is going to be a tough out.

Ohio State probably needs an upset today to get into the national championship playoff. They didn't get any help from No. 1 Alabama, which beat Missouri 42-13 in the SEC Championship Game.

Alabama didn't face the real SEC East champions (Indiana), but it had total control of Missouri for much of the game. The Crimson Tide dominated much of the game with Amari Cooper through the air and Derrick Henry and Blake Sims on the ground. The Tigers drew within 21-13, but Alabama put away the game with three fourth quarter touchdowns.

While Alabama is unquestionably in the playoff, the Buckeyes may have gotten some help from an unlikely source. Oklahoma State beat No. 20 Oklahoma 31-28 in overtime, thus depriving TCU and Baylor of a win against a ranked team. Should Ohio State beat Wisconsin, there will be some interesting schedule comparisons between the Buckeyes and the Big 12 champions, whoever they may be.
