Virginia Tech Removes Empty Trophy Case

This is weird.

Apparently Virginia Tech erected an empty trophy case in 1998 reserved exclusively for the national title trophy. The game's greatest prize is something Virginia Tech hasn't sniffed since Mike Vike was throwing darts and scrambling in Blackburg.

Perhaps it's because they play Ohio State this fall or it's the end of the BCS era, but Virginia Tech has removed the exhibit and replaced it with a giant Hokie:

Boy, Virginia Tech's haters are about to get #bizzy.

*Deleted because the person after me made a good point. It was a drunken post in poor taste.

I'll throw you a HS cause you owned it. Whatever was said, owning your garbage we should reward just as much as we punish the obstinate on here.

I wonder if it wasn't going over so well with recruiting.  Here let me show you our national titles, oh wait...

if mike vike was anything like mike vick, i'm sure he was a one man highlight reel.

They saw Buckeyes on the schedule and figured no need to hold out hope this year
