Joey O'Connor to Transfer to Colorado State
Former Buckeye offensive lineman will reportedly transfer to Colorado State and have three years of eligibility after sitting out this upcoming season.
O'Connor is currently rehabbing his knee at Ohio State while he finishes out the semester, at which time he'll transfer to CSU.
Joey was a Rivals 4-star out of Colorado's Windsor High School in 2012. He initially committed to Penn State but switched gears when the child abuse scandal came to light.
The kid has had nothing but good things to say about Urban and Ohio State:
“I can’t thank them enough for the opportunity that they gave me to be a part of Ohio State and get to experience that,” O’Connor said. “Everybody here supports my decision and they completely understand.”

Good luck, Joey. Colorado State is getting a very good offensive lineman.

Best of luck! We, as fans, forget that it can be very challenging for a high school kid to move away from his family for college. I hope he has a lot of success at Colorado State
Wish Joey nothing but the best!

Good luck to him.
Help is on the way.
I hope it works out for the young man. Take it from a guy thats been away from home nearly 31 years, there's something to be said about being close to family. Good luck, Joey.

I have a good friend who is a CU fan that wanted him bad, but he said Joey didn't care for Boulder. Hope he recovers and does well at CSU.
Dustin Fox was our leading tackler as a corner.... because his guy always caught the ball.
Good luck to the young man, hope it works out for him.

Good luck to Joey. Why couldn't he have grown up in Ohio . . .
Shoot. Well, best of luck to him, and it's hard not to understand the desire to be close to home, especially after what I'm sure was a frustrating season rehabbing his knee.
Hate to see him go. I remember seeing his film and thinking he had a real nasty streak which is a good quality in a OLine man. It just wasn't meant to be, but I wish him the best.

He'll go to CSU and dominate out there. Wish he could've stayed, but no ill feelings whatsoever. Been homesick too many times myself.
