It's exciting to get the big time recruiting classes and all but if we don't win a National title in the next 3-4 years with the 2011, 2012, and 2013 classes that were brought in is it a total failure?
No, I don't think so. I'd say at least 2 Big Ten championships (wins in the B1G title game) is the bare minimum needed to avoid that. Consistent appearance in the playoff system would be a nice way to avoid having classes labeled as busts as well. If they are winning 10 games per, and always find themselves in the #1-#7 range, I'd say its an uprorious success. Anytime spent out of the top 25 would hurt these classes legacies as well. The NC in and of itself wouldn't be the sole determining factor, in my humble opinion.
I mean, Block O was one of the all time great classes coming , they got a Rose and a Sugar* and but for tat gate would have been favored to land in the national title game in 2011. I have a hard time saying that class was a bust.
4-6 seconds from point A to point B and when you get to point B, be pissed off
As I looked at the bio information on the recruits yesterday, I noticed that we got 3 of the top 11 recruits in the state of Texas. We've been getting talent from Texas for years, but to snag 3 of the top-rated players from there - pretty impressive.

"Woody would have wanted it that way"
We have only got 1 player from Texas besides Barrett the last 10 years in Shugarts no?
edit: Youboty was also from Texas.

Guiton is from there as well, I forgot. I meant more recently(last 10 years). I know Cooper had quite a few Texans.
