"What we've done the last three games offensively is totally unacceptable," Dana Holgorsen. Apparently the 48 ppg your defense is giving up the last 3 games is totally acceptable. This might give some insight into why their defense is so bad.
I knew Holgorsen was always an offensive-minded coach, but the fact that he's completely ignoring his defense and acting like the offense is the problem after a 38-39 loss is astounding. West Virginia's defense is so bad that TCU going for 2 wasn't even really a risk at all.
I knew right after the Baylor game that their offense was going to get exposed for the one-dimensional gimmick that it was eventually, and their defense wouldn't be able to pick up the slack. Now they've given up 45, 49, 55 and 39 points in their last 4 games. I don't remember the last time I've seen a defense as bad as WVU's.
