I thought it would be next week to Oregon State, but I knew they lose one of these two. They had not played a team with a rush defense in the top sixty all year. Both Stanford and Oregon State are top ten rush defenses.
True. You saw it coming as well. People get all caught up in this "fools gold" team with the quick explosive offense but nothing else to bring to the table to win a Title.
I started out trying to root for Oregon because I wanted a championship without the SEC, but in the end I just couldn't do it. Chip Kelly irks me. I was glad Stanford pulled it off.
It's hard not to like Stanford. I was "rooting" for Oregon because I really wanted Alabama and Nick Saban to have to face the hurry-up offense he whined so much about ("it ruins football - wahhh"). And I was also hoping 2 of the 3 undefeateds would remain that way so that we'd have a non-SEC NC game.
But I caught myself "rooting" for Stanford throughout the game.
I am torn between wanting ND to lose to USC next week so we can be the sole undefeated team in college football, or hoping and praying for the most improbable underdog BCS NC upset (i.e., ND taking down Alabama) since our Buckeyes put the smack down on the 'Canes.
For me, they share a commom trait with the TSUN fanbase: Elitism
There are certainly exceptions, but when their programs have sucked, the common theme for both was to attack tOSU by pointing the finger Ie - tOSU cheats, has low academic standards, the players are felons, etc.

Florida State just rejoiced too. Their only shot is if UGA loses to Ga. Tech then beats Bama in the SECCG. All that is contingent on FSU beating UF. Either way I hope Ga. Tech and FSU win next week.
A friend of mine pointed out that Oregon should still be above Alabama because Stanford is a much better team than Texas A&M... I reminded him that it won't matter because the SEC conquers all. UGH.
My prediction is that ND loses to SC and Oregon plays the winner of the SEC Championship game (which I hope is Georgia because I actually think Mark Richt is a good guy). This would also leave us as the lone unbeaten but we will get screwed and finish #2 in the AP.
This happens whenever Oregon faces an actual defense. Rose Bowl, NCG v.s. Auburn, etc. Their offense just looks amazing against the non-existent defenses of most of the Pac-12.

My new prediction for the MNC game:
Alabama- 73
Notre Dame- 2
7 in a row. Really K State?!?
F&@# the SEC.
Can't blame them for Oregon and KSU shitting the bed though.

I can't believe that either
a) ND will play Bama in the NC game or
b) ND will lose to USC next week and we'll have another possible SEC vs SEC matchup. I hate Oregon and KSU (and ND and Bama).
^you hate the world it sounds like.
I GUESS I WAS RIGHT SAYING OREGON WOULD LOSE A GAME, NO ONE WANTED TO HEAR IT BUT I SAID TRUST ME!

Again im to surprised by this at all. It was only a matter of time. Now all we can hope for is that Bama will choke again.

This current ND squad is very reminscent of the 2002 Buckeyes. Winning with defense and getting some breaks along the way.
I cannot stand the ND fanbase but I would not mind seeing a team from the Midwest beat Bama in the NC game.

What's wrong with the fan base? They seem classy and educated from what I've seen..the complete opposite of S.E.C fans.
I actually can tolerate their fan base a little more than ours to be honest.

Implying tOSU fans don't suffer from Elitism...
To me......There is a big difference between arrogance and elitism. As a fan base, we can certainly be arrogant about the program.

At least tOSU has done something in the last decade to make the fans feel that way.

Georgia is definitely my least-hated SEC team. Although I hate the hype they get when they are generally only above-average.
But they don't oversign, and that gets them big points.
