And who says that the Bball team isn't supported? Sure it may not garner the attention of the OSU faithful quite like the Football team, but 4 minutes is still pretty darn impressive.
Got mine, too. Probably gonna sell the IU game or the M*chigan game to get my money back. A friend of a friend sold his Duke ticket for $900 last year, so I'm at least going to see what I can get.
I wouldn't cheer for Michigan if they were playing the Taliban.
^you'll regret these decisions in 20 years. Go to the games! Your buddy will never be able to attend a Duke vs OSU game as a student again. (And probably never an OSU vs Duke game period) He's going to kick himself later in life when he realizes just how special that was and has no idea what he spent that $900 on. Don't get me wrong, $900 is a shit-load for a ticket, but just think...someone knew how special it was and was willing to pay that much to take his place. That should speak volumes. Wait until you're older and you'd give anything to have that ticket back. Take it from a guy who's been there. GO TO THE GAMES.
^This. I remember about 3 years ago, some of my buddies ended up selling their tickets to the USC game for some big bucks. I didn't and ended up going to the game. Sure we lost, but the first 58 minutes of that game, that was an experience that I wouldn't trade for anything.
For the record, I've never missed a football game in my two years here and never plan on doing so. All I'm saying is that, if I get a good offer, I'll probably sell one or two of the games and just watch them on TV with my friends who couldn't get tickets.

Sounds like they need to release some more student tickets, even if they are in the nosebleed sections. I don't care if it fills the whole arena, or if they have to ony sell half of a season at a time - current students should be able to get tickets for more than 4 minutes.
We WERE just a football school. It just speaks to how well Thad Matta has done to make basketball at Ohio State just about as important as football. I haven't gone to a basketball game in years, but I have to get to a few this year. I'm not sure basketball will ever EXCEED football in terms of importance, but it can come pretty damn close, and it has.
It's not like they ever fill the damn arena anyways unless it's a game like Duke last year. I went to the Florida game last year (which was a top 10 matchup) and there were empty seats everywhere
I'm just glad all 2400 have a chance to sit in the lower bowl this year. Last year it was so frustrating to see 114 not full at tip off while I sat in the nosebleeds. If you aren't committed to come to the game before tip off you shouldn't get to sit there. Glad the Athletic Dept. got this right.
Does anyone think this is directly related to football having a postseason ban, because it took months for OSU to sell all the student football tickets. MONTHS!!!!!!
No this has been like this for at least the past three years I have been in school. This is the first year I got season tickets. I tried to get tickets the past two years with no luck.

But there's only 4 tickets in the section. :)
That just means they need to expand the student section. Let the "sitters" be in the club level and the let the Nut House be around the court.
Got some this year, thank god. A**holes are already selling them for $450 on Facebook though.

"Have you earned your buckeye today?"

I've sold some football tickets this year, mainly because noon games can be dull as Hell, and that's way too early for a football game.
I was lucky enough to get them but my friends weren't. Now I don't know what to do with them because I wasn't that into basketball to begin with.
I got shut out. I am hearing something about they aren't actually distributing tickets to students but they will just be on your Buck ID?
You can electronically transfer your tickets to someone else. http://www.thelantern.com/campus/ohio-state-basketball-tickets-to-be-loaded-on-buckids-1.2930183
Good to hear, I was worried.
Don't tell me we are just a football school. Agreed that the students need more seats near the court. Enjoy the games!
I got my season package but got locked out of Kansas. Also my friends didn't get any so I gotta find some people to go with haha
Sorry Urban, Woody is still my favorite
I wouldn't be opposed to student 11Wers getting together before the game and going together.

Right now I'm really glad I play in the Athletic Band.
Are you going to try out for men's band, then?
Most likely. Although I do love playing at hockey games.
They really need to expand student seating

I'm envious. I was a student during the late end of the Randy Ayers era.
I was taking a test while they were being sold so I couldn't buy any. Just my luck.

I would have been taking a midterm while they were being sold, but I broke my foot yesterday. Blessing in disguise.
