Woo hoo! I was sure it would be a nooner. I haven't missed a game in years, but my kid's b-day party is at noon this Saturday, so I thought I was going to miss a game. Thank you ESPN!
Sadly, I will be out of the country for a little while. Worst timing ever, but what can I do... I told my boss that it was damn-near criminal to send me away in the middle of the B1G in conference play.
Sadly, I think this is the last game I'll get to watch this year.
Don't know what your internet situation will be while you're gone, but if you have ESPN, figure out how to log into watchespn.com (and not just let your home connection do it automatically). Like, when I'm not home I can still use my TWC login info to watch games away from home. There's also less reliable streams out there as well which are free.
Yeah, I'm not headed to an area that's built up enough to have AFN.
I'm actually a 46Z, formerly a 46R (Broadcast Journalist) and I used to work for AFN, and can tell you it's impossible to please everyone with sports covereage. 8 channels to work with, and fans from across the country makes for irate individuals every weekend. Add to that the complaints we got for showing too much sports on the weekend... It was enough to make me wish to be in an infantry unit.
I can't wait for us to clean house with Illinois. I despise Tim Beckman and think the real brains behind his success at Toledo were his OC at the time (now HC) Matt Campbell. See: Toledo at Arizona and Cincinnati at Toledo this year.
The Illini will be even worse than the Zook era and boot Beckman in three year's time (not that I'm complaining, as they play in OSU's division).

I'm surprised it isn't a night game like Indiana...
This is great though. I have s 15 month old daughter that goes to bed at 7 (and turns into a monster if she doesn't) so afternoon games are much better for my ability to watch without waking her. :-)

I'm not validating the choice to have the wedding at this time (I mean, there's a bye week the week after for crying out loud!), but at least it was scheduled for Illinois and not PSU, Wisky, or Michy!
Are you part of the wedding party or just attending? If its the latter, there are plenty of ways to stay up to speed on your phone! (Like 11W's live blog)

Who gets married on a Saturday in the Fall? I got quite the mean looks when I skipped out on one of my wife's cousin's weddings. She got married on Nov. 22, the same day as OSU v. scUM. I calmly explained to my inlaws and wife that there was no way in hell that I was going to skip the game to attend a wedding for someone I could barely pick out of a crowd, and especially not one who would be so inconsiderate as to schedule her wedding on a Saturday during football season. I just don't get it...

Yessss!
I thought this was definitely going to be a noon game
I can hardly believe my eyes. A 3:30PM START!!!
Looks like ESPN learned from today that you need to spread the crappy matchups out a little bit instead of putting them all at 12:00PM.

I'm in the Army, so where I'm headed is pretty austere. There will be no civilian internet. I'm afraid I'll be stuck without the Buckeyes...
Will you be able to watch AFN where you're going? The game will surely be on AFN.
Don't count on it. AFN has done a piss poor job of showing Ohio State games this year, and really Big Ten games in general.

Hate Illinois. Don't predict blowouts....Purdue? Indiana?
Don't worry about it. It's not like Illinois has a history of giving OSU tough games when they shouldn't... oh wait.
In all seriousness, I can't imagine next week being competitive.
I hope it's not competitive...I believe we all deserve at least one completely stress free game this year.

So true. We haven't had one of those since week 1.

Thank god.

Thank goodness. At least one non-nooner. Bring on the Fighting' Turribles!
It would be nice to have a good old fashioned blowout game, however those have been the ones we've struggled the most...UAB, Indiana, Purdue...ugh.
I want to see some jazz in the 4th quarter!

I wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then.
So looking at the stadings http://espn.go.com/college-football/conferences/standings/_/id/5/big-ten..., If we beat the Illini on Saturday do we clinch a share of at least a share of the leaders division?

I'm pretty sure the B1G policy is to not permit night games in November.
I'm not going to be confident until it's 35-0. :/

Ill be at a wedding that starts at 5. I was really pulling for a nooner here.

Don't people know NOT to schedule weddings during football season?

You made the right decision! I'm sure they understand, looking through the 20/20 lens of hindsight. :-)
