PHONE'S RINGING -- IT'S URBAN ON THE LINE

I can understanding wanting to be "that guy", that predicts something nobody else is willing to, so you one can say "i'm the guru, I told you so, I knew it, etc", but it's pretty risky to put your list out there, and watch your #1 not making it through Day 1.
Then what? I guess the rest of his poll looks "OK".
I'm all for screwing up the AP poll, but why wouldn't he put Wisconsin and Sparty in his top-10 while he was at it?
I think they are ranked a little to low, I would have put them at #14 or #15
"hoke waves" makes me think of him having the super power to microwave food with his eyes.
I know there's a game saturday, and my ass will be there.
Hoke does generate pretty large waves any time he jumps in a pool.
Class of 2010.
You fellows are way ahead of me. There can be only one explanation for the Michigan vote; a gamble that the September 1 JerryWorld game will be an upset for Michigan.
If he's right, I'd say that there is good reason to put Michigan at #1 for the utterly pointless first-week college football poll. What other good team will have proved as much, in this '12 season? But if he's wrong...
As for the gap between OSU and Michigan in the AP poll; there can be no good explanation. Much the same two teams (an arguably much-improved OSU, even) that played each other pretty evenly last year.
I can see it, if somebody said that Michigan, MSU and OSU were all in spots 6 to 12, or 10 to 15, say. Michigan #8 and OSU #18 cannot be reasonably explained, and my guess is that Coaches Hoke and Meyer will spend less time thinking about the polls than the time it took me to type this.
Bottom line is that Michigan has a chance week 1 to prove that they belong in the top 10, and OSU has a chance to earn their way up the polls if they end up being as good as we think they can be.
Considering we went 6-7 last year being ranked at 18 is just about right. The only reason were even ranked is because of tOSU's reputation.
I think the reason we're even ranked is because of UFM's reputation
