Would it still have meant anything even without the ban? We don't play for the Cap One; we play for BCS bowls. We would need a lot of luck at 9-3/10-2 to get us to Pasadena. Essentially, the expectation was always for us to really start rocking in 2013.
I definitely see that side of things and typically I'd agree but without a ban, this team would still be afforded some type of potential springboard - and extra practices - as they prep for a legit title run in 2013.
Oh, for sure the extra practices are key. The only fans who think we're truly missing out on anything this postseason though are the ones who start a "Why OSU Could Go 12-0..." forum post every summer.
