they definitely go out of their way to make ohio look pastoral as hell (assuming they filmed the rest of it in ohio)

Wonder where they filmed the farm scenes? Really, really looks like NW Ohio/SE Michigan.

Ahh-mainly western Michigan, Grand Rapids area. Turns out the writer/director graduated from OSU-Journalism degree. Might have to see this one.

There are multiple typos. Having a copy editor for a single paragraph must not have made their production budget.

That being said, it's nothing to get in too much of a twist over. It's not like they used your/you're interchangeably.

Here is the 2010 article from the Dispatch when they filmed some scenes in the 'Shoe. The article notes some parts were filmed in Coshocton & Fredericktown but much of it was filmed near Grand Rapids, (Up North).

Was thinking the same thing. On the plus side, Melanie Lynskey is in it. She's a very good actress.

I agree with RDubs and Shark. The movie looks like something The Rock should play QB in. Although I do like seeing Coldwater, that's a D5 power house in Ohio. I'll go see it, sadly I admit.
