Someone Busted a Whiteboard in Ohio State's Locker Room

By Jason Priestas on January 4, 2014 at 12:52a

Per Sun Sentinel reporter Dieter Kurtenbach, this whiteboard in the Ohio State locker room is tonight's first casualty. No word on who destroyed it – cough, Vrabel – but somebody had it out for this poor whiteboard.

That's Fickell's game plan.

Well, it was busted alright. Not sure that was the plan, but it was busted.

Are you sure he had a game plan?

At least somebody on the team was able to hit something... It was probably a back up though.

What we can't do in the air we'll do on the ground.

This appears to be our defensive strategy on this whiteboard - look at the big gaping hole for Sammy to run through!

I wish they would have been an angry football team on the field rather than after the game in the locker room

We were born to love Ohio State and hate that team up north.

Colby3333's picture

Too little too late.  Should have showed that type of physical play out on the field.

Trips into zone....
I swear if I never see zone coverage again it will be too soon.

Can't decide how I feel about this on the one hand you want Urban to be as pissed as any fan but on the other hand that is how you act with class right there. I think I like it cause I bet Urban is pissed but can still be a decent guy.

There is zero reason to be pissed at Boyd.  Guy played a hell of a game and was everything we wanted Braxton to be.

We saw a very young and inexperienced defense make a lot of poor/slow plays.  But we also saw the talent level of them as well.  Good things to come.

buckeyestu's picture

I am not excusing the poor defense, but, 4 turnovers did us in, the muffed punt was a game changer in my opinion.

pretty much the only thing we hit all night. I can tell you who didn't do it, a certain 5th year senior on defense

They are kids.  They played to lose?  Give it a break!  Sure are a lot of people complaining who could only have done worse and know very little about the game except what they perceive to know about the game of football.  If you are unhappy about the team you can always find another to lend your negativism.
Great job by a bunch of dedicated young men on the playing field and you have made a great contribution to Buckeye Football.  Those that criticize know little about the game.

Urban Meyer punch it? or did he throw Fickel or Herman through it? yeah Herman is just as much at fault as Fick. Mainly bcuz he gets away from what works, especially these last 2 Games, not running Hyde after u take the lead again... running the same plays all season, it hurts the team when you dont use your weapons, including TE's Heurman got open & he scored, then never thrown to again! that cant be the whole playbook that we have, its always the same damn play!! its a QB read Screen to philly, or a Braxton/Hyde run up the middle, its not hard to stop 3 of the same plays in a game. Luke Fickel I believe gets Demoted to LBs coach, Coombs gets fired, & we hire 2 good Defensive Guys & get back to work!!! love my Buckeyes till I die

Light shines in the darkness and the darkness has not overcome it-John 1:5 SEC meet Ohio State, Ohio State meet SEC

This "Hyde works, nothing else does" is nonsense.  Brax was getting 9.8 yards per attempt.  Huge TDs or almost TDs on big passes.  Hyde works to set up those kinds of plays, that actually do damage.  Constantly feeding Hyde and not deviating ends up in long drives that end up with FGs or punts.  You must give him the ball enough so that they must stack the box, but not so that Hyde can pound the ball, but so we can make big plays.  Big plays win games, not 3 yards and a cloud of dust.

It was a reference to Woody punching a player in the throat in the 78 game as opposed to a whiteboard in the 2014 game, I believe.
