Ohio State's streak of Big Ten titles is dead thanks to an epic collapse from the Wolverines.
The Buckeyes are back in action Friday at 6:30 p.m., as the No. 2 seed in the Big Ten Tournament, where they will face the winner of Thursday's Purdue-Nebraska game.
Thad Matta's team may have fallen just short of winning the league crown, but man, what a coaching job out of Thad this season.
Oh well, we'll always have the schadenfreude:

I'm a die hard Michigan fan. So let me save you guys the frustration. However pissed off you are at Michigan for blowing that game is insignificant compared to the anger I am feeling right now. Sometimes you have to call a spade a spade - Michigan absolutely choked that game away in the final minute. If they had hit a couple free throws like a halfway competent team, then half the Big 10 could be celebrating a co-championship right now. From an OSU perspective, this was largely ceremonial anyway. You guys still ended up with the #2 seed in the Big 10 Tourney and the Michigan loss likely had a limited impact on your NCAA seeding. Michigan, on the other hand? We just pissed away a conference championship, a home undefeated streak, a bye in the Big 10 tournament and most likely any hope of a #1 or 2 seed in the NCAA tournament. Fuck the world.

I took up for Beilein last year because I thought it was a lack of talent. Not this season. He cannot inspire his team after having one of the more talented teams in the B1G. Give Matta kudos for taking raw talent and making players ready for the next level. DT has progressed to being a first round pick.
I give you credit for showing up here and venting. I wish more Michigan fans came around to vent. Seems to be instant upvotes for them. I'm not mad at all, OSU had their chance against Michigan and MSU on the road to win and they blew it. I'm just glad we don't have to play Michigan in the Big Ten Tournament and somewhat that Michigan doesn't get a Big Ten Title. Great game that didn't go your way. Vent, drink beer and then realize there is more to play for! Good luck to your team.

Thanks BME - the way I see it, I would have no problem coming on this board and celebrating if Michigan won, so the least I can do is man up when my team royally blows it. I've seen enough big Michigan wins and losses in my time to have some pretty decent perspective. That said, this one hurt quite a bit.

A B1G title would've been nice, but the alternative isn't bad, either. This team only has themselves to blame for laying eggs at Illinois and Wisconsin.

Supposedly Crean got into it with one of the scum ast. coaches in the line, and then again after the line (same coach). Dan Weitzel of yahoo tweeted about it, but I can't find any video. Anybody see anything or find any video on this? I know, it's a huge shocker that Crean does something so classy post-game.

Is it my imagination, or has Crean's descent into lower and lower levels of douchedom indirectly had the effect of making Thad more popular among other Big Ten coaches?
For Thad's first five years, his Genghis Khan recruiting triumphs maybe made a few other BT coaches butthurt, but at the rate Crean is going, all will be forgotten.
I never really had much of an issue with Matta one way or the other. Crean, however, is a complete douche. Watching him on the sideline is like watching a 16 year old girl having an overblown hissy fit for 2 hours.

I've decided to take happiness out of Michigan's misery. Big ten titles are nice but they're not all that important I'm glad to see Michigan seeded lower in the tournaments and Ohio State seeded higher for a 2nd place finish in the best league in America.

I can't really get up any hate for Michigan bball right now. After barely missing two back-to-back tantalizing lay-ups/tip-ins at the buzzer, they went from tying for a Big Ten championship to 5th in the Big Ten and on the other side of the BT Tournament bracket from Ohio State. I'll root for Michigan to do well in the NCAA tournament, but still feel like they'll be one of the more vulnerable BT teams - relative to their seeding - in the Big Dance.
They looked like we did earlier in the year against Kansas -dominant in the first half and then lost. Granted, they played it a lot closer than we did, but scUM fans can't be happy about this developing at this time of year.
Michigan players look like a gaggle of "big birds" trying to play ball. Whoever designed those lemon unis at Addidas should get canned like tuna. At least they stopped wearing those foolish "we on" shirts....smart move cause those were really silly....

In addition to the lack of title for us, I'm kinda salty over the fact that our chances of seeing Craft/Burke for the (most likely) final time have greatly diminished. If there's any match-up I love seeing in basketball, it's been those two.

Obviously Indiana deserves the outright title, but I really like our chances in the tourney. All good things must come to an end but the 4 year streak was one I didn't want to see end.

Battles are sometimes won by generals; wars are nearly always won by sergeants and privates. Football is no different, the guys down in the trenches win the games, not the coach.
I feel bad for indiana bc in the tourny zeller wont be able to get all the touch calls he has gotten all year in the big10.......our buckeyes however can sort of blame themselves, the losses at michigan, illinois, and michigan state could've been wins had they not squandered late and played mentally tought like they have to finish off the season
