With the way Braxton watches his target, I don't know why we don't do more double move routes. A hook and go with an arm pump would be wicked against a D after a drive or two of our run game.

My first half thoughts: Our passing game is ongs bombs and little 7 yard passes. We have absolutely no intermediate passing game. Our defense wouldnt have to rely on drops if we would just play some tight man defense out wide. Good to see noah spence out there tho.

What blows me away is with all the mistakes we ALL see, look at the points on the board! What happens when Devin makes the catches, Braxton doesn't force things and we have zero punts blocked? Look the hell out when it all gels.
PLUS I'd like to think we'll add to that a defense that actually stops people and gets the ball right back to our offense.

Ha. Rod Smith has used this game to simultaneously remind us all why we know he could be awesome and why he doesn't play that much.
I really wish Hall wasn't hurt. He and Hyde playing at the same time makes them both even more effective because of their contrasting styles. Yes, more effective than the 300+ rushing yards we have tonight.
Guys our defense isn't good. We don't have the talent and experience yet. It's a hard pill to swallow but we ought to. We can't make these players into something they're not.
Love Hyde but think Smith has a higher ceiling. Looks faster and more shifty if he can learn to secure the ball like Eddie did, game on.

What the heck is going on?
Our defense is bad this year. Really bad. We're basically West Virginia, but we run instead of pass. The D looked good against MSU because MSU's offense perfectly matched up with our D's strengths. We'll look good against Wisconsin for the same reason. Anybody who can spread a little or go up tempo will own our D this year. Shouldn't be a shock. Not sure why people were thinking we'd shut out Indiana or, for that matter, anybody.
That said, I'll take wins anyway we can get them. It's a practice year anyway, but wins help recruiting and we definitely need more linebacker and safety talent.
We REALLY miss Nate Williams! No pass rush at all!

This defense is really horrible. We have given up 49 points to Indiana. In 35 seconds they put up 8 pts. They just announced it, a new record! The most points ever scored by an Indiana O on an Ohio State D.

Feels like 6-1 after that nightmare. I hear what your saying, but our D was terrible. They took the 4th quarter off. No pressure on the QB the entire game. Missed a half dozen opportunities for interceptions. Gave up huge plays. I know they're down a few guys, but tonight's effort was absurd. Feels like loss.
