Texas starting defense flew to Missouri and are now playing for the Tigers.
I'm just going to watch Alabama for a bit to wash away all of the incompetence from that Iowa/MSU game
Hopefully Illinois can put up a semblence of a fight vs scUM
Possibly a broken wrist for Dennard?
Honestly, I want michigan to win every game this season for my own selfish reason...so when the bucks bring back down to earth we will be, without a doubt, The best team in the B1G. Cant wait for revenge.
No call on the hold on that long TD pass for scum
Why did Missouri join the SEC
Yeah I'm not sure how there wasn't a hold or block in the back on that long TD screen for Michigan
Red Raiders coming out strong against WVU

We get to see Geno Smith playing from behind today. This could be interesting.
Michigan-Illinois is going to be a ritual evisceration.

ShaggyBevo in meltdown mode. Mack may want to get out of town for the week.
They should be melting down. With the talent they can pull in with no effort, they should never lose that badly. Mack is finished.
Yep, I said earlier in the year that Texas isn't going to be elite again until Mack is out. Dude is out of his element.
Always was but talent made up for it, but without the supernatural talent of Vince Young will never win the big one
It seems to be raining all over the world today.
WVU just gave up a 2nd and 25
As expected their defense is clearly going to let them down some time this season
I can't wait to see ND play a team w/a passing game (i.e. OU and USC later in the year). Even an ineffective Stanford offense has blown a lot of easy completions w/underthrows and drops, ND's front 7 looks human against a good Stanford OL thus far.
Wow annnnnnd Sparty decided to Sparty today.
I bet sparty fires a coach over this one. Won't be the big dog though
clearly Kirk Ferentz used Jedi mind tricks to dupe Sparty into that INT

Seeing Denard and Scheelhaase go down makes me thankful for one Kenny G
Beckman needed to go for it on 4th. It's not like the Illini have a realistic chance of winning a conference game this year.
test
Im going to the illinois game since they usually put up a good fight but this year might be a snoozer. Even still you cant beat the energy in Columbus on gameday
Texas Tech exposing WVU.

The West Virginia defense is really terrible, and they're not scoring enough today to compensate.

Kirk Herbstreit said it on GameDay this morning, and I think he was dead-on - West Virginia is like a basketball team that lives by the 3. Sure, when that team is hitting their 3's, they're tough to beat. But every now and then, a game comes along where they get cold from the field, and then what happens? They usually get beat, unless they can find another way to win. Live by the 3, die by the 3. West Virginia lives and dies by their offense. West Virginia's offense is amazing when it's clicking, but their defense is terrible. When their offense struggles, it's become clear that their defense can't pick up the slack.
Class of 2010.
That's a completely accurate comparison. Why everyone was impressed with their 70-63 win over Baylor was beyond me.
It truly is unbelievable how bad West Virginia's defense is. 438 total yards allowed. In the first half.
Tech up 35-7 on WVU. Holy sh!t.

Stefon Diggs continues to be a stud, we could use him as a playmaker this year.
Has Dantonio ever beaten Ferentz as a head coach?
/Duff'd It
WVU losing 35-7, I can't honestly say I'm very surprised
Their defense has been forshadowing this all season
I REALLY want ND to lose.
"I'm One Bad Buckeye, and I approve this message."
Me too, I think they are way overated (just like scUM is, since when does a 3-2 team get in because they have good losses?).

Is there anyone who can beat Bama? Yeesh, I'm kinda tired of them.

How far down the list will Texas and WV fall after their respective showings?

WOW. Great grab for a Notre Dame score

Question: Has anyone had any issues trying to watch a game on btn2go.com, not live? I may not be able to watch it live, so will I have to watch it at midnight? I noticed on the website some are not available until then. Just wondering...
Damn it man. They took the WV game off the air down here. Just when I was sensing a comeback by the Mounties.

It's still 42-7 with under 7 minutes to go. If Geno Smith pulls this one out he wins the Heisman today!

That is a bs PF call. That was legit
Even in real time it didn't even look close to being helmet to helmet. That was a horrible call.
Refs are giving ND this game.
You had no idea they would be the deciding factor at the end either... hadn't even peaked when you posted!
WVU should have stuck around in the Big East for another year before making the jump to Big 12.
I knew my WV ranking of 18 was correct about 30 minutes into the OU/Texas beating. That was before the TTU thrashing. Sweet.
This ND/Stanford game is legit. Good defense being played by both teams without making me want to die like the Sparty/Iowa paint-drying spectacular. I hope Stanford can pull this out, I like nerds that can ball.

Tommy Rees outta nowhere dammit.

Pretty good OT. Notre Dame took a big loss on first play of OT and still scored. Stanford hit for a big loss on their first play in OT and has so far recovered. Heck of a game.
Class of 2010.
Wow.
"You have to slay the selfish beast inside of you and be your brother's keeper" - Chris Spielman, on being a great teammate
That looks like a touchdown to me

That is a TD. If ND wins, that's BS.
Class of 2010.
Oh boy here we go. To me, it is either a touchdown, or a fumble into the endzone recovered by Stanford.
Just has to cross the plain though

Touchdown Stanford

Forward progress was stopped. No TD.
Love the NBC commentators acting like it isn't completely obvious that it was a touchdown. That was clearly over the goaline before he lost it.
Wtf?
ARE YOU SERIOUS!?!?!? The refs really blew that one. Paper win. Asterisk.
Class of 2010.
Wow that's just horrible
Sorry Urban, Woody is still my favorite

Terrible call. Stanford was in.
Controversy or not, you cannot deny how good Notre Dame's defense is.
EDIT: Though now that I watch the replay a few more times, it was very clearly a touchdown. How can they rule forward progress if they didn't blow the whistle?
And I just puked in my mouth! Poor officiating!
An angry fan...rooting for an angry team...led by angry coaches
Doesn't matter how good the defense was they clearly scored!!!!
"We have always had the best damn band in the land, now we have the best damn team in the land"- Jim Tressel 1-03-03
BULL SHIT. Touchdown, JESUS!
He also scored on the 2nd and goal play too. Stanford got hosed
No worries. I have a feeling the Irish will recieve a rude awakening when they travel to Norman in a couple of weeks.
Correct me if I'm wrong but unless they blew the play dead, that's a touchdown? And if they blew it dead due to foward progress being stopped the touchdown is not reviewable? I don't see what the refs saw. I hate seeing great games jobbed like this.
"You have to slay the selfish beast inside of you and be your brother's keeper" - Chris Spielman, on being a great teammate
I'm by no means an expert of all the technicalities in the rulebook, but I'm pretty sure that if the whistle was not blown, then that was a clear touchdown. Even if they think he fumbled before the ball crossed the goaline, then it was clearly recovered in the endzone by a Stanford player. What confused me is that they didn't explain their reasoning after the replay, they just said the play stands. Was he down? Did he fumble it?
Oh well.
Don't the linesmen run in towards the center of the field after the play is blown dead? If so, you can see the linesman on the side of the play running in far before the last surge where the ball crosses the plane.
I thought the ruling on the field was stopped forward progress, looked like the line judge blew the whistle and was running in from the sideline while Taylor was making his second effort. That's not reviewable.
But clearly thats the call they had to stand by because Taylor never hit the ground, and even if he didnt break the plane when he extended the ball, the fumble was recovered by Stanford in the end zone.
So either they reviewed an unreviewable play, or were so incompetent they couldn't call the play correctly.
Yeah, nothing about it really made any sense. I didn't go back to see when the whistle was blown, I was just assuming that since they were reviewing the play that it must not have been. The review was BS, but honestly, I think most refs would have blown the whistle for stopped forward progress too.
If Florida loses to Vandy I don't think Muschamp will be crowd surfing anytime soon.
Ref was quick to try and blow the whistle before the kid for Stanford scored. It's a shame that home cooking from the refs costs Stanford a game that they should've had an opportunity to go win in a 2nd OT.
Class of 2010.
This really rustles my jimmies. WTH were they watching in the replay booth? GAH!
"You have to slay the selfish beast inside of you and be your brother's keeper" - Chris Spielman, on being a great teammate
That's a touchdown! I would take a fine if I was the coach.
Stanford <- Robbed...
