Who says the Red River has run dry? Certainly not Barry Switzer, seen here cracking a beer just thinking about the shootout rivalry.

That's an old picture of when somebody asked him about considering a salary cap.
Looks like Smeagol if he ever got his precious back. Great pic.
Ok, 11W. I could have died happy to have never seen that picture.

LOL Okie is running a train on Texas right now. Mack Brown's seat is glowing like molten lava.
Is there something worse than running a train?? Cuz DAMN! I've never seen that game so one sided...
The world is full of kings & queens who'll blind your eyes & steal your dreams - it's heaven & hell - Ronnie James Dio.
Seriously, if anyone wants to complain about the tackling at OSU, watch the OU/UT game and hold your head up high.
No kidding, Okie is wiping Texas out. I figured it would go like this after Texas let WVA beat them, I don't think WVA is all that either - great offense, no defense. WVA willl play someone with a defense and they'll end up with a loss too.
DEB II
Agreed. OSU may have their issues tackling, but at least they've shown the capability to stop someone.
It's true... We really are a bunch of nuts!
Go Bucks!
Michigan state can't spike a football

Here's what Dantonio should have said to the sideline reporter at HT.
Texas getting whipped by Oklahoma. Have to think this only helps out OU's chances with Mitchell.
THIS JUST IN! TEXAS SUCKS!

The Longhorn Network is looking like a great idea right about now.
Jesse Palmer, "Texas is embarassing itself right now." - That just happened.
2 things. Lol at m*ch state's crowd and I really am digging the hell out of Minnesota's matte helmet

Iowa State is playing big, is there a chance they pull it off?

Will Texas FINALLY fire Mack Brown now? My god how can they tolerate this crap, they're about to drop to 16-14 since Colt McCoy left, it's time for a change.
Please don't fire Mack. Texas would be a force to reckon with if he was gone.
An angry fan...rooting for an angry team...led by angry coaches
Haha I was thinking the same thing! Could you imagine (not that it will happen obviously) someone like Urban or Saban recruiting Texas for UT? They would be close to unstoppable. You'd have the talent of Oklahoma (annual Top 5 based on primarily Texas-talent) and Texas combined--scary! Almost as frightening as that picture!
LLJJGG, I almost had a panic attack when the reality of that scenario hit me. Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I'll probably have nightmares.
An angry fan...rooting for an angry team...led by angry coaches
It's ridiculous! He recruits like a machine and this is the end product. He's the biggest talent killer in the league
All Oklahoma has to do is run to the right side of the line every down. Texas can't stop it at all.
Is it too late to schedule Oklahoma instead of Texas?
Dustin Fox was our leading tackler as a corner.... because his guy always caught the ball.
Well to be fair, we do already have Oklahoma on the schedule somewhere.
I've been watching the big ten games...and I would hate to be a fan of a non Ohio State big ten team...all these games are just so BORING...there are virtually no game changers or play makers on any big ten team besides OSU and sometimes scUM
The rest of the Big Ten is stuck in the dark ages, it's embarrassing
And if there wasn't that little misunderstanding about trinkets and tats, OSU would still have Lord Tressel, Supreme Leader of the Dark Ages.
K State is giving Iowa State a chance, #6 isn't showing much.

The MSU-Iowa announcers just discussed how that game and its many miscommunications, blown coverages, and fundamental errors is exactly why the Big Ten doesn't get respect and doesn't win big games. I could not agree more, and I put much of the responsibility on coaches. Clock management issues, too many men on the field, and mental errors are for high school football, and until this conference, not just Ohio State, can correct those mistakes it will continue to get the minimal respect it deserves.
I see a lot of those errors in other conferences, as well. But I agree, we don't have a lot of quality coaches in the Conference these days.
To me it's more a factor of recruiting and talent-development, though. Outside of OSU and Mich (who are top 5 recruiting), there's only 1 other B1G team recruiting in the top 25 on most recruiting sites this year (PSU at #25). Compare that to 7 teams from the SEC with top 25 recruiting classes (4 in the top 10). The last few years have been bad, but not quite that bad. There just isn't a whole lot of talent in the B1G these days, and I don't see it getting better. We're being left behind.
Michigan State having a close game with Iowa? Seriously? Seriously??
F*** the big ten
Big defensive stop by Iowa State. They're still alive. Down by 6

Breaking News: Braxton Miller is not a quarterback!
"Anything easy ain't worth a damn." - Wayne Woodrow Hayes
Brian Griese just said he considers Braxton Miller a RB, not a QB, I'm pretty sure he should be saying that about Detard and not Braxton who already is a much better QB than Brian Griese ever was.
I heard that, too. In making such a clueless comment, Griese was only beclowning himself. Now, I don't consider Brian Griese a real color analyst; he's more like a drunk in bar masquerading as a color analyst.
Beclown is my new favorite verb.
up vote for "beclowning". I must use that in a sentence.
An angry fan...rooting for an angry team...led by angry coaches
I guess if you have a good enough running back, you don't need a quarterback, huh? I'm glad he's on our team regardless of what guys like Griese say!
DEB II
Just ignorant that he would say that. Braxton is only top 5 in Heisman talk right now.
After Texas's performance today, should the NCAA allow their players to transfer without penalty? The beating continues 46-8

Iowa about to tie with MSU ugh
Vandenberg just somersaulted onto his head. Wonder if it will have any effects.
'they turn to a walk on transfer Fullback"
Just let that serve as an prime example of how bad the Big Ten is this year
About as bad as having the starting fullback play linebacker.
Depends. Having a Boren who plays FB also play LB is kind of awesome in the same way that it's awesome when a lumberjack volunteers to fight a forest fire.
Yea I agree and I wasn't trying to knock Boren. It just isn't an ideal situation.
The last three players that I know of to be two-way players Marecic, Gamble and Eric Weddle have all been studs. The only thing I worry about with Boren is speed, he is not the fastest guy in the world.
I thought about that last night and decided that Boren is maybe 0.2 - 0.4 seconds faster in 40 than Storm Klein (my guess). Boren is basically about as fast as Iowa's starting RB, Weissman, maybe a bit faster. Not sure about his defensive angles, understanding of the defense, etc., but I'm comfortable with his straightline speed.
No letdown, not a tough opponent, at home. No excuses msu you just flat out stink.
Just Sparty being Sparty
Has Micah hyde been playing for Iowa for like eight years now?
12...I think

An angry fan...rooting for an angry team...led by angry coaches
I don't know. Both Iowa and MSU are just pretty good, solid teams that have zero dynamic offensive players between the two of them.
Will you classify this game as an "overtime thriller" or two drunks punching it out in the parking lot?
An angry fan...rooting for an angry team...led by angry coaches
The two drunks. And these two drunks agree to fight 19th century prize fighter style - toe the line, strapped together, no bobbing and weaving, no dancing, just slug away.
That is an exact description of this contest.

OT in half-empty Spartan Stadium.
Time for the most boring OT in the history of football
They should change the OT rules for MSU and Iowa - start each series on the 8 yard line.
AIRBHG!
I think Ms U will really open it up here! Uh no.....Bell again.
An angry fan...rooting for an angry team...led by angry coaches
Field goal, what a surprise
Both teams are literally afraid to throw the ball
3 and 6. Set up the FG
Overtime, aka "who can make the most consecutive field goals?"
I think I just heard the MsU fans chanting "WE'RE ME-DI-O-CRE! WE'RE ME-DI-O-CRE!
An angry fan...rooting for an angry team...led by angry coaches
Iowa: call time out. Set up a two yard run to the middle of the field and kick the 40 yard FG.
[edit: okay, I was wrong, but if they'd gotten picked there, they should have what I was jokingly saying they would do]
Since when did Jim Tressel get a gig calling plays at Iowa? XD
/Duff'd It
I wonder if there's ever been a double OT game that went under the O/U?
WELP
Ferentz probably locked up another B1G COY award with the OT win.
DAMMIT you beat me to it!
Yea nice move going to the SEC Mizzou. Looks like fun.
This MsU team will self destruct in five seconds.....

Texas Tech is giving West Virginia all they can handle. This could be WVU's day to bite it.

That ND endzone fumble reminds me of Cam Heyward's endzone fumble recovery against Tate Forcier at Michigan in 2009.
That's some lisp on the ND commentator, glad I don't have to listen to that every week.
ND's offense is as horrible as West Virginis'a defense! Whether we can play in a bowl or not there is no way either of these teams should be ranked above the Buckeyes. I'm hoping neither one makes it out alive today!
DEB II
West Virginia suddenly learning that you also have to play defense.
Yep, they still have Oklahoma too! Yikes!
