Mirror Lake Jump at OSU's Campus

While this is obviously an apolitical blog, there are certain historic events in culture that go beyond sports. Ohio State's student body seized the moment late Sunday evening and ran with it. The result was this.

U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A!

I felt pretty damn good on January 3, 2003. This day blows it away. I'd like to think that right now bin laden is getting acquainted with his 40 virgins, and they are all bull queers (i apologize in advance if I've offended anyone. Not intended to be homophobic. Just borrowing an expression from Shawshank Redemption).

Read on Twitter that "We don't give a damn for the whole f----ing Taliban" is being sung at Mirror Lake.

Ummmm...anyone understand that this is the COOLEST THING that's happened yet?!?!  Something only reserved for the state up North, bestowed in Celebration upon a major victory in our nation's campaign?!  And it happened spontaneously?!  GO BUCKS!  GO USA!

As a Michigan student, I have to say that was awesome and I wish that our second semester hadn't ended last Thursday. GO USA

To Chief, and all those that serve(d), exhale and enjoy this moment. And a BIG thank you. The fight will go on but this is quite the coup. Interesting to see what the next week will bring. It's just one man, but what a fish to fry, it dispels the myth of our inability to get this turd (the operators put warheads on foreheads, great job boys). Lesson: Never piss us off with a below the belt punch, we'll wait, we'll scheme, we'll get you. I have a friend who got out of the north tower who just popped some champagne, his texts are great, NY is a happy town right now.  Just got one from another buddy doing some RnR at Bagram and they "found" some spirits and it is being liberated by USMC stomachs currently. I think this bit of good news is a welcome shot in the butt for all of us citizens of THE United States of America.  Gonna be a good Monday...

Guess it was abboutabad idea to try to hide from the most finely trained humans on the planet. Great job and thanks to all who are serving or have served. Thank you for allowing us the freedom to be so concerned with sports. Why? Cause its American.

I was sitting in the dining facility this morning when they announced that he had been killed.  All the third country nationals (TCNs) got up and started cheering and clapping.  Pretty cool moment.  Definetely one I won't forget.

Would take a lot to get me into that lake without a hazmat suit, but this would probably do it.

Just imagine the big rush we had winning the MNC in '02 and think about how that would pale in comparison to how those guys on the choppers must have felt as they headed back to base with that body lying on the floor.

A big thank you to our military, current and former.  Without them, blogs such as this would not exist.
