The Buckeyes received a verbal commitment from offensive lineman Chris Carter of Cleveland's John F. Kennedy High. Carter becomes the 3rd commitment for the 2011 class and will arrive in Columbus with a whole list of chores for Duron to complete.
Carter made an unofficial visit to the Columbus campus today. He received a scholarship offer and gave the school his commitment during a phone call the minute he got home.
"I left my house about 9 this morning and got home about 3:30 this afternoon," he said. "I knew I wanted to go there from the beginning, so why wait?"
Carter, a 6-4, 315-pound tackle/guard, blocked at a 91 percent efficiency this past season for the Eagles with 16 pancake blocks. He also received offers from Akron, North Carolina State, Miami (Ohio) and Toledo.

Sometimes schools know a kid is bound to a certain school, so they don't try. Storm Klein didn't get too many big offers. Plus, I think JT and the staff are stocking the o-line in 2011.

However, the Schott will forever stain his legacy.
St. John could have been renovated and remained a great college basketball atmosphere. Instead, he sought out the PSLs and built Gund Arena, South.
The Schott is 10x quieter than Gund(Quicken Loans, shudder) Arena

So the last class sucked because there was only 1 O-Lineman, now some of the not highly recruited guys have committed and there aren't good enough. They haven't even started their senior year yet, you have no idea where they'll end up being rated. Not to mention the real studs in the class won't sign till later, they usually like the hoopla of recruiting and taking all their official visits, getting free dinners from schools, and hookers from the Kiffins of the world.
I would say the way student seating is arranged and the way ticketing is handled is the bad part, the arena itself is nice, and I'm sure helps recruiting in some ways.
