    This is terrific.

  2. anonymous says:

And per usual Ohio State style. A much stronger opponent will eventually roll in and crush all dreams and hopes of the Buckeye fan.

    • RunTellMatt says:

Whoa, careful there little fella. Don’t let your mind wander too far from hatersville. It’s much too small to be out here in the real world all by itself.

    • TM says:

Bro, the Buckeyes are a legacy for nearly the past century….don’t hate people have their ups and downs…

  3. bup bup bup says:

    hoooolllllyyyyy crrraaaappp

  4. Vico says:

May this image show: Ohio State fans are EVERYWHERE.

  5. bup bup bup says:

    slightly higher resolution: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3337/3629591615_12af84d02a_o.jpg

also, OSU stuff aside, this is some intense crazy crap that’s going on in iran. i think eventually nothing will end up coming of all of this, but at the very least the youth and the more moderate forces of iran are making themselves heard and i’m rooting for them as hard as i can. keep fighting the good fight, protesters. you’re all about a million times more badass than i hope i’ll ever have to be.

    • Jason says:

      Thanks! I updated the image.

Getty wants $49 for this photo and I’m thinking about buying it to hang it in a frame above my first-born’s bed.

      • Typical OSU.... says:

        Ugh, try Copy & Paste.

        • Jason says:

Copy and paste into an analog frame? Yeah, that’ll work.

Or copy and paste to my desktop from the low-res versions put out by the wire services.

You’ve been a tremendous help and I hope you can teach me more about using computers soon.

  6. Sam says:

    Two words: Bad. Ass.

  7. Sgt. Elias says:

    Tehran tailgates are pure win.

PS I wager Ahmadinejad sports maize and blue Underoos, hence the unrest.

  8. X.V. says:

    My God…this is so…beautiful

  9. jfunk says:

Wait wait wait…. You mean this thing wasn’t ’shopped??? Holy crap!

  10. not pictured: the Iranian Carl Monday

  11. buckeyebrowny919 says:

there are literally…no words to describe this…not only is it an ohio state shirt..in iran….but he is completely seperated god like above the crowd…order and framed in my game/ohio state/cleveland room…

  12. GA. Buckeye says:

I’m glad that kid finally got all the OSU stuff I sent him and decided to wear some of it in public. Yes, thats my old stuff. The kids name is Habibe. His nickname is Eddietroy.

  13. Ahmed says:

Although I know you should know that this is a photo shopped image, you may need to be reminded that this is a photo shopped image… Spend your $49 on another buckeye leather jacket or half a ticket to the NMSU game.

    • GA. Buckeye says:

      prove it – prove it!

    • bup bup bup says:

it isn’t photoshopped, it comes directly from the AP wire services’ website. unless the photographer in iran is somehow a huge OSU fan to the point where he’d alter images of a historic and incredibly significant event to include a dude with an OSU sweatshirt, it’s real.

    • Tyler says:

It isn’t photoshopped, Ahmed. The Glorious Revolution begins with Ohio State.

    • buckeyebrowny919 says:

      i don’t like your face

  14. OH OHHH NO says:

Ohio State fans are terrorists? Nice!

    • Bill says:

The O’Reilly Factor must have linked in?

      • bup bup bup says:

nah, as soon as EDSBS links to something on 11W, at least one or two SEC fans immediately come rushing in to make a lame joke

        • Matt says:

hahahaha this is a comment from EDSBS, and while it besmirches Buckeye nation, you have to hand it to him for the clever factor:

          odell51 says:

The gentleman in the picture is only protesting for internet rights. The lack of available porn on the computers in library’s accross Iran is making it tough to be back home.

          June 16th, 2009 at 10:14 am

          • bup bup bup says:

that one was pretty good, but i also liked orson’s comment about iranians needing to emulate the kind of tolerance for pepper spray that OSU fans have.

        • Bucksfan says:

To SEC fans, anyone who doesn’t wear a camouflaged team hat is a terrorist.

  15. A Bag of Doritos says:

am i the only that quickly glanced down at this photo while reading about sullinger and thought the photo was of hineygate?

  16. TJ says:

Not a real OSU fan. Real OSU fans wear jersey’s with jorts.

  17. stankonian says:

whys yous talkin bout da ESSSSS EEEEE SEEEEE

  18. jfunk says:

The Iranians should consider calling in Holbrook.

    • bup bup bup says:

i’m not sure how much effect an open container crackdown would have in iran

      • GA. Buckeye says:

thats good – probably Gee will order a crack down over in iran about the open container law

  19. SEC says:

It goes to show even in Iran the buckeyes cant win the big one.

  20. Jimmy K says:

I’d like to send that guy a Jaeger bomb and a stack of old playboys.

  21. Palm Beach Buckeye says:

..hey wasn’t that guy in my physics 101 class??

  22. king cane says:

    Allah Ahkbar?

    • Matt says:

Allah Akbar/Allah Akbeer is arabic for God is great. “Kabara” is the root verb and relates to size (large/great). However, Iranians are not arabs; they don’t speak arabic, they speak farsi (aka persian). However, because Arabic was the language of Muhammad, true moslems are expected to learn Arabic and read the Qu’ran in the original Arabic.

Alright, that was too informative, let’s dumb this stuff down:

      ESS-EEE-CCC SPEEEDDDD!!!!111!!!1!!!

  23. Gabe says:

Lets hope Ahmadinejad’s Homeland Security forces don’t have much speed. If they do then we know that OSU guy is in big trouble.

  24. Wil says:

You should have done a caption contest with this.

  25. Eric says:

I’m not an Ohio State fan by any means, but its cool to see that american college football (I’m assuming its football) has wormed its way into Iranian culture.

  26. Brian says:

It was probably a goodwill donation. Haven’t you ever seen pictures of people in Africa wearing a 1980’s Denver Nuggets jersey. That stuff gets to those nations by way of aid. It is pretty funny that out of all those people, that guy is in the forefront.

I’m glad the non-OSU fans are coming on here and making fun of people getting beaten and killed while they rally for the beginnings of democracy. There probably the same people that believed it was good to bring Democracy, and war to Iraq.

    • A Bag of Doritos says:

this was brilliant. pat yourself on the pack for being a great man. your mother must be proud.

      • A Bag of Doritos says:

oh oh wait…and it was sarcasm. STFU, dude. nothing you said made sense. bring it back to the foosball, where you might be a little more able to say something that is not self-contradicting.

  27. Brian says:

    Sorry, They’re

  28. Ahmadinejad says:

He’s already been thrown into prison for his transgressions. Everyone knows the SEC rules the Middle East too! Lame Buckeye fans… Death to America

    • GA. Buckeye says:

weren’t you that TA i had in class who would always come in acting like a bad ass and hated everyone except the good looking girls.

  29. RBuck says:

Man, Talk about out of hound!!

  30. TebowIsBetterThanYou says:

Hopefully the Iranian kids will get more than 82 yards of total offense in their big game.

    • Bucksfan says:

Hopefully Florida will play a tougher November nonconference game than Citadel this year. Oops, Florida-International…nevermind. Here’s to Florida going undefeated at some point in their existence…all of their national titles have been a result of default or pity votes because they always lose a game.

      • TebowIsBetterThanYou says:

Well, Ohio State would have won a national championship if they hadn’t lost a game….right? Oh…right.

        • iball says:

The only reason the guy is wearing a Buckeye hoodie is because all the Florida gear is in a police impound locker, waiting to be returned to their owners when they are released. The rest are for sale at the booming Dollar General franchises in Florida.

Dad gum!!! They got sum sweeeeet deals!!!

          • TebowIsBetterThanYou says:

Sorry iball, you have Florida confused with Miami. Also, you really want to argue that Ohio’s economy is stronger than Florida’s? Really?

          • James says:

LOL..are you kidding me? Are Gators in this much denial of the crime spree in their midst?

24 arrests in four years? You sold your soul for championships.

And you’re still not as relevant as Ohio State.

        • Bucksfan says:

What? 1996 – Florida LOST to Florida State, then got to play them in a rematch game, beat them, then somehow won the national title over an Ohio State team that beat the #2 team in the country in the Rose Bowl. That’s the 2nd lamest national title ever awarded…2nd only to LSU’s 2-loss season. Then there was Florida losing to Auburn at home, then beating a Ted Ginn-less Ohio State team 2 months after their season ended. You would have cried yourself a river if Michigan had gotten another shot at Ohio State and won in Glendale, so half of that 1996 title is Ohio State’s, especially since Arizona State would have won the title outright if they had won that Rose Bowl. Then there was Florida losing to Ole Miss at home, and Florida was voted to #1 because people took pity on Tebow’s God-praising temper-tantrum. USC had a better overall resume, and should have been there.

Face it, Florida has never won a national title without controversy. You will never win a national title without controversy, and that’s because you’ll never schedule a quality nonconference game, and you’ll never go undefeated.

          • iball says:

            Amen my brother.

Fake UF fan or not, that was some funny sh**.

          • TebowIsBetterThanYou says:

Its ok. You guys keep living in your revisionist history where you make your “relevant” school out to be some powerhouse and we’ll keep on lining our mantle with national championships and Heisman trophies. When you guys play a conference championship game at the end of the season that could jeopardize your undefeated seasons, then we’l talk.

          • SEC says:

HAHAHAHAHA we don’t have to schedule weak non conference games because our in conference schedule is tough enough. Even with USC on your schedule do you truly believe it’s tougher than Florida’s. Who else do yall play that’s any good? Penn State sucks and they whooped that ass last year. You make fun of us for losing to Ole Miss? Take a look they are in the pre-season top ten. Get a grip man.

HAHAHA and you’re talking shit about a two loss LSU team. OSU had two losses that year and head to head comparison they were beat outright (pretty brutally if you ask me).

HOW DID USC HAVE A BETTER RESUME. For beating your sorry sack of a team? OSU was the only decent over hyped team they beat. I’m sorry losing to Ole Miss is not worse than losing to Oregon State and that lil punk running back.

  31. Jesse says:

20 Minutes after this picture was taken, this guy was blown out by an SEC team

    • Wil says:

Jesse, please remove the word “out”

      • TebowIsBetterThanYou says:

So you are admitting that male Ohio State fans like to be blown by big sweaty men? What?

        • Wil says:

I don’t recall that first comment saying an SEC men’s team you dumbass……seems to me like you were the one thinking about that.
I was thinking of the female gymnastics team.
But who am I to judge you for what you like to do in your spare time. Just do me a favor, when you get done circumcising little boys in third world countries….. please try not to blow them, they are just children.

    • jfunk says:

Alright, who decided to go skim the shallow end of the gene pool?

    • buckeyebrowny919 says:

promptly sir…eat a bowl of dicks…i grab you a spoon

  32. Buckeye Jer says:

look at the shit storm of sec fans this topic has generated. shouldn’t you sec people be busying (jerking) yourself by watching college football live?

    • TebowIsBetterThanYou says:

Not really. We already know that one of the SEC schools will win the BCS this year, so there is really no reason to watch.

      • Anonymous says:

And one of the other SEC schools will promptly lose to a WAC team, only to have the media sweep it under the rug

      • Bucksfan says:

…or another SEC school will lose to a Sunbelt team.

        • iball says:

Urban “Crime Spree” Meyer is gone after Tebow anyway, how can anyone believe Meyer is content to finish his career in Gainesville?

They may actually be more arrogant than ND, cant wait til that wake up call comes.

  33. ILikePSU says:

Dudes… Awesome smackback you guys are laying on the $EC kids. Great work.
    Best.Thread.Ever.

  34. GRYPHON says:

I think perhaps all you football idiots may want to pause and just for one second, replae the words OHIO STATE, for FREEDOM. I am ashamed to be an American college football fan after reading this page. Only in America could people demean the importance of a picture like this. I am glad that the kid in Tiennamen square wasn’t wearing an Ohio State hoodie, noone would have ever seen the signifigance of the moment. Grow up guys, Im a fan too but its just a hoodie. By the way, someone said that the same people supporting this kid might be the same ones who brought war to IRAQ, those people also brought freedom to Iraq. Maybe you should all think of what you would say to that kid, instead of insulting each other, you all sound like idiots.

    • COB says:

I think most of us would say “Go Bucks”. You are on a…wait for it…Ohio State sports blog. If you would like to highlight the social and political significance of this photo, you have come to the wrong place. Many would say that the true “idiot” would be one that did not understand the correct time and place for your desired conversation. You have incorrectly chosen both. If you are an Ohio State fan, cheers to you but it does not change your distinct misunderstanding of the surroundings.

  35. robg8r says:

all you buckeye queers are just jealous of the Gators and you can’t stand that the Gators completely own you.

    HA

    • Sam says:

Oh, hello, newly-minted Gator fan. Sure are a lot of you around these days. I imagine you’ll be coming around here sometime in the next few years as a USC fan when Florida happens to lose a game or two, yes?

    • Jason says:

That “HA” at the end was just cold-blooded.

    • A Bag of Doritos says:

so, is it considered a best practice in southern grammar to use all caps on key words for emphasis or do we have a schizophrenic 19 year old?

  36. hail2thevictors says:

Wonder where he keeps his methlab.

  37. Ken says:

Can we offer this guy a scholarship?

    • Ken says:

Almost forgot; what was the chanting that accompanied this photo; O-H I-O, by chance? This is good shit.

  38. Brandon says:

I bet the back of his sweatshirt says “2006 BCS National Champions”

  39. Vandy/Gamecock Fan says:

As a SEC fan, except FloriDuh, after seeing the Ohio State shirt displayed by the Iranian revolutionary and the great OS fan response, I too am an Ohio State FAN, go Buckeyes!
