Berry Arrives for Summer School
In what could be a good sign, Jamaal Berry reportedly arrived on campus yesterday in time for summer school despite the fact he has an unresolved felony Mary Jane possession charge pending.
Hopefully, as May writes, this means Tressel and company think the issue can be resolved in a way that allows Berry to participate in football activities by the time fall camp opens although there’s sure to be some discipline down the road.

“Running back Jaamal Berry reported on Sunday along with most of the other members of Ohio State’s freshmen who intend to being summer school on Tuesday, several sources said.”
????? Looks like Tim May could use a little summer school, lol. Just kidding May’s a great writer.
Hopefully Jamaal learned his lesson and moves on from this. Good luck #5, hope to see you on the field.
The stupid thing is that he got in big, big trouble for the pot, which, c’mon, is pretty harmless. Though what got him pulled over in the first place was failing to heed a traffic control device, which has a far higher likelihood of killing someone than smoking a joint. The pot got him a felony charge…running the red light (or whatever it was) was probably just a citation.
Think our society is a little mixed up?
All kidding aside…we’re pulling up on 2 months!
Amen
maybe the pot was the reason he ran the red light. Did you ever think of that?
Dude. Jaamal. If you’re going to break the law, wait until you get to the NFL, OK?
Glad to see him taking steps to get back on the right track. When he’s convicted, I hope he does his time on and off the field, learns his lesson, works hard to get himself out of the Tressel Doghouse, and then he’s welcome back as a full member of the team.
when he’s convicted? Let’s not get ahead of ourselves, all we really have is the police report, and, well, police are people, too, if you get my meaning.
usually, i’d be with you…but they found an ounce of weed in the dude’s car. so, the options are:
1. dude had an ounce of weed
2. cops mistook an ounce of oregano for an ounce of weed (i am hoping this is the case as it could lead to a heart warming tale for TV of Berry’s great gift for the culinary arts and his impact on the future heart health of his teammates)
3. cops planted an ounce of weed during a traffic stop
i got no love for the police, but the last two seem a little far-fetched to me and would lead to national stories and ridiculous embarrassment.
Sounds like Tressel is keeping to his M.O. and let him get away with this, or perhaps just take the keys from the car away for a few weeks.. sad..

HAHAHA!!! Torch city.
Torch city as you just torched that Gator, or torch city as after a good comeback you’re going to torch Columbus……again?
Torch city as in Gator making a remark about Berry getting arrested for pot when Urban Meyer would get on his knees and cry if one of his players was arrested for possession………from joy.
or torch city…here comes sherman to finish the job.

The funny thing: he’s actually Florida’s S.I.D.
S.I.D.?
Sports Information Director.
Maybe Berry decided to come to Columbus now because he heard the grass is much greener here than what’s around the streets of Florida.
Berry’s potential on the field is too high to punish him severely. Look for another buckeye wrist slap (ie. on field success over real life lessons). But I’m sure the senator will talk a lot about how Berry will be “handled internally”. Right…
I think Steve an Gator are one and the same. Both idiots
you are a lying SOB if you say you thought this too…

should probably make clear…scroll down to the o-line rankings.
That might be the funniest thing I’ve ever read.
