The injury bug continues to bite chunks out of the Buckeye football team as it was confirmed today that freshmen linemen Mike Adams and J.B. Shugarts are out for the season.
Both are ineligible for redshirts, having appeared in too many games this year. Damn.

Let me be the to say...
That suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucks.
stupid tags. i put the word 'first' inside some of these >< and for some reason it got eaten. damn you html which will never understand!
Let me try it.
Oh I'd be appealing that shit to the NCAA.
Hope these kids recover for next year tho
Huh. Well, it seems to work for me.
no, i put the whatchimicallits around the word FIRST as you might normally use parentheses (which is what i should have used), and the brackets ate my word. but i totally am inept at html anyway.
God...
Why?
World's biggest TCU fan right now.
Yeah BYU is finally being exposed, I don't understand how a bunch of slow tight ends put up so many points but ain't happening tonight against a mean TCU defense
Tough blow with big mike, Shugarts is a dick who was probably gonna bust or turn into a carbon copy of one of our current O Line disappointments
Damn dood did he sleep with your girlfriend or something?
[...] a total shame that to see DE Lawrence Wilson go down again. It’s almost unfair. Losing Adams and Shugarts isn’t devastating, but losing the chance at redshirting them hurts [...]
Well... fuck.
They may not be able to get full red shirts this year, but if they are hurt in the next 3 they will be able to apply for the old medical red shirt and get another year. We don't need them until next year anyway. That is when they will have to come in and play, this year is just for some experience.
GOBRUTUS - Behind Brewster, Shugarts was getting more playing time than any other freshman lineman. He looked pretty promising to me.
Care to explain your comments??
I know the stats say otherwise, but I feel like I've seen Mike Adams take all of six or seven snaps this year. Shugarts was more "visible" to me, for whatever that's worth.
i am going to go out on a limb and say that this is the worst job of career management i have ever seen out of this coaching staff. i havent seen either of these guys in any meaningful part of any meaningful game, and now they have lost an entire season. maybe they would have ended up good enough to leave early anyways, however, why not at least get soooome value.
Absolutely right man, while we are at it, I think we should take them out back behind the toolshed and shoot them between the eyes, and then shoot their kids, and then shoot their kids' pets, and shoot...well, I can't think of anything else to shoot past that.
Spaz.
FACE.
Here is to an angry team showing up tomorrow. One thing is for sure someone is going to pay this year. We have too much talent for this thing not to work once. Even Tressel's play calling can't stop this much talent... can it?
