Gotta love that comment on LiC. "So when will LiC be implemented into the offense?" As soon as humanly possible you jackass. And you know he is going to have him ready for some things USC has never seen or prepared for. Our backfield is going to be ridiculous, give us a half decent full-back, (any suggestions here...this is the most interesting spot of opening camp) and the heisman is in the bag for beanie.

He's often accused of not saying much when he speaks, but I get the impression that he's definitely loosened up a little since he's been in town.

Love this as well -- what Kyle was talking about earlier regarding the Palmer stuff, but it applies internet-wide, really:

"You know, Woody used to always say 'whether they are talking good or talking bad, keep them talking.'"

i'm seriously not trying to be a dick here, and i know it's really nitpicky, but could we try and avoid mgoblog-esque indecipherable acronyms? i know LiC means "pryor," but for some reason goofy terms like that irritate the hell out of me. people wanting to get solid football information shouldn't have to wade through endless memes like "tacopants" or "UV is an angry kitty" or "OMG SHIRTLESS" or a billion others.

again, i know it's a lame complaint, but stuff like that just adds to the already insular nature of sports blogs, which in of itself is ultimately hollow and useless. it'd just be nice if sports blogs could avoid turning into an even lamer version of 4chan

of course, as per usual, i could've just said the same thing with a simpsons quote:

Skinner: Er, um, we need a name that's witty at first, but that seems
less funny each time you hear it.
Apu: How about, "The Be Sharps?"
[Everyone laughs loud at first, then less, then the laughter
tapers off]
Skinner: Perfect.

Are you complaining about the title calling him 'Vest?' It's an OHIO STATE blog... If you want news w/ out (sometimes clever) fan nicknames, go read a paper. I always find things like 'LiC' hilarious, but I also read this blog everyday, and I am a die hard Buckeyes fan. The 'insular' jokes are the ones that keep me coming back.

I do love a good Simpsons quote, though.

Since we are talking about the acronyms on this site, just one that I never knew for sure was MNC does it mean "mythical national championship" cause I have seen other blogs use MNC for that.

Just wondering, if someone could answer that would be great

Mark May is so excited that Carson Palmer will be his new shield in the ongoing war against OSU fans. He was practically giddy on College Football Live the day Carson's comment-gate blew up.

Stop using my name Kyle. There can be only one.

aw, you got me. zing.

and i wasn't complaining about "the Vest," people who don't know much about tressel probably know two things about him; he's the head coach of Ohio State and he wears sweater vests. it's a pretty widely known/used nickname.

the stuff that bugs me are things that no one could rightfully be expected to be able to figure out on their own. and MNC does mean "mythical national championship," although i'm pretty sure that's a term that's been around for a while.

Bup, I see where you're coming from and understand what you're saying. Hopefully we don't get too bad about it, but from time to time we may drop some stuff like that in. Personally, I think that's what makes blogs so much fun -- the sense of community and knowing some of those little code words. My life is better for knowing what BKAB stands for -- and yes, even what TacoPants means.

Also, may God have mercy on your soul for coming here for "solid football information".

As far as Mark May -- he is giddy over ANYTHING that's anti-Ohio State.
