Jenkins To Return But Vern's NFL Bound

Malcom Jenkins

Buckeye Nation just received some good news as Malcolm Jenkins announced he's returning for his senior season. MJ released a statement through the university saying he's got some unfinished business including a national title, the Thorpe Award and 1st team All-America honors.

While Robo and Jenkins will return, the Gun Show announced he will turn pro.

So, now we wait for Little Animal, Boone and Freeman...

Hopefully Jenkins coming back convinces others to come back. I still feel Gonzo only left because everyone around him leaving. Worked out nice for him, though.

Does this mean the weekly Gun Show picture will be retired?

Wow. I gotta say, I'm bit shocked by that one. He would have been a first rounder. He was Mel's top Jr. CB, and rated 2nd behind Mike Jenkins of USF. Must be the jersey.

Oh, and the Gun Show should never be retired. But I do look forward to the 2009 season's "This week in the Weight room" with Johnny Simon.

props to jenkins for essentially deciding to 'give back' to the university...just ask yourself - would you seriously pass up early-mid 1st round money?

Cant wait to see the Gun Show Jr. in scarlet and gray

I Love it. Mostly because he's a stud ballhawk but also because this is such a shock.

Lets hope Laurinaitis stays. I think Gholston is a big loss but I think we have the most depth at d-line so with Rose, Heyward and Wilson I think we'll be ok. My biggest concern for next year is winning a meaningful game nothing else matters next year if we don't at least attempt to show up against USC.

Jenkins staying is a total stunner for me, but a welcome one at that. Best of luck to the Gun Show in the NFL; he's given us plenty to smile about.

THanks Mike for staying and the great effort this year! Much props to our guys who stay to finish out their college career. And, good luck to the Gun Show, have a great career!

Also, Tressel just took a recruit (Zach Domicone) that had committed to Nebraska and then Oklahoma. This sounds promising. A 6-foot-3, 215-pound defensive back with 4.46 speed in the 40-yard dash and has cracked 50 seconds for a 400-meter relay split. Plus, has good academic grades and should not have any legal issues keeping him from playing.

I want to see the Bucks field a lights out Defense for the next 4 or more years. Go Bucks!

What is up with this popular course (How to be Gay: Male Homosexuality and Initiation) that is being taught at Michigan:

I always wondered why Michigan is known for having above normal sales of gerbils, butt lube, assless chaps, and whiffle ball bats. Maybe RR will have the football team perform some sweet dance numbers during the halftime show.

Good to see MJ coming back. I used to play DB in my highschool days and he does it rather well. As much as I respect the Gunshow, MJ is the real man here knowing that graduating and that last year may benifit him so much more than leaving early.

A 6'3" DB, eh? Maybe he can cover a TE.

Schoenhoft, however, will not be returning, it seems.

I'm shocked that Jenkins is staying. Of all the juniors, I thought his was the best legitimate case to go pro early. I'm glad to see him value his education.

Boone and Laurinaitis need to stay.

Nice to see someone putting the team first. As for Gholston, I've got no problem with him leaving because he's been here four years (much like Gonzo last year and Holmes the year before). It's not his fault he was redshirted. Back to Jenkins; not only is he coming back but he says he will actually graduate next year. Well done, Malcolm. That's setting an example!
