Missed Coffee And Need Something To Get You Going?

UnstoppablePurple is pretty fly

This ought to do it.

If not that, then surely this will accomplish the trick.

Here is a new one. New Orleans radio is straight-up gangsta.

Word is that the Tigers aren't even going to bother to practice until the week of the game.

I seriously may have to watch this one with a blanket over my head.

The Buckeyes have no chance.

That speed myth is about to be shattered again. As I recall, that's the same thing detractors were saying before the Miami NC game and the Texas regular season games.

If OSU beats LSU, what are they going to say? The Buckeyes were too fast for them? Nope. It'll be "LSU didn't utilize their superior speed to their advantage and paid for it." Just watch.

If this isn't the media hype in December of 2002 being copy/pasted all over blogs, then I guess I'm not just sure what it is.

I just don't get it.

This headline, and the links therein, got me so angry that I had to write two comments to the referenced Tennessee site.

Since Ohio State sends more pros to the NFL than Tennessee, Arkansas, LSU, Georgia, Auburn or - gasp! - Florida, that must mean that the NFL values hulking, listless, slow-footed players. If the Big 10 goes 2-1 against the SEC in last year's bowl games, but loses the big one, that means that the SEC possesses superior speed and talent - those other two losses be damned.

I feel a little sorry for the Tennessee blog. These people have to wear International Orange with a straight face. They have to pretend that their program is still a national power. They have to turn out every year and watch their team choke to Florida. (Do those losses mean that UT possesses inferior talent and slower foot speed than the Gators? No - that couldn't be.) They lost (again) to an Alabama team that went 6-6 and couldn't beat Louisiana-Monroe. They lost the SEC title game on an interception that a Pony League quarterback wouldn't have been dumb enough to throw.

These are people in pain, folks. Sadly, there's no way to help them until they admit they have a problem.

In addition to what Joe Fox said...

What kind of a team gets their asses handed to them in a Conference Championship game, then turns around begging that team to perform in a similar fashion the next week? I know the discussion about wanting a conference to do well in bowls, and blah blah blah. But I don't even want Michigan to win their Bowl Game and they haven't beat us for literal years now, much less LAST WEEKEND.

Pretty funny TN ranting, coming from a 4-loss program. Especially the part about ESPN being in the Big 10's pocket, priceless. Maybe the inbreeding has finally kicked in down there.

Ken, I agree, I'm not sure what they're talking about.....ESPN has been in love with the SEC for years now.....evening coining the phrase SEC-speed!

This was on the Colin Cowherd show:

Former LSU/Indiana head coach Gerry DiNardo joins the show to try and defend the Big Ten and its an uphill battle!

He explains that if Ohio State and Illinois get off to good starts, they stand a chance at beating their competition.

He also compares Ohio State to last years Florida team, the supreme underdog!

Plus, he explains why the Big Ten will become the BEST conference in CFB in the next 3 years and why Les Miles isn't a guarantee at LSU!
