Buckeyes Complete Conference Title Sweep
OSU dismantled an overmatched Wisconsin team 66-49 to sweep both the Big Ten regular season and tournament championships en route to what should be the top overall seed in the Big Dance. The entire weekend served as a statement and OSU saved their best for last. The unflappable Mike Conley led all scorers with 18 points, 8 assists and 6 rebounds proving again that he is the best true point guard in the nation. Ron Lewis had another strong performance with 17 points and is clearly playing his best ball of the season. Greg Oden was held scoreless (0 FGA) in the first half but the big fella came up huge in the second with 12 to go along with 10 rebounds and 4 blocks.
Wisconsin hung around for the first 30 minutes trailing just 43-38 with 8:47 left but the better team took over from there as OSU outscored the Badgers 23-11 the rest of the way. You saw it so I’ll spare you the details. Bottom line is the Buckeyes have everything you need to win a national title. Stay tuned for the Selection Show!

Tix are still available in Lexington……..unless of course you are going to Vegas
At first, I was kinda pissed we dropped to the third #1 seed, but I’m not afraid of Memphis or Texas AM in the bottom half of the region although Tex AM is the strongest of the 3 seeds, imo…I think Tennessee is the best 5 seed and could be a dangerous opponent for a trip to the elite 8…we’re a different team now but they impressed me back in January and a hot Lofton can beat a lot of teams.
I love it when the NCAA tries to manufacture match-ups. Look ahead a little at these possibilities, OSU vs Xavier, Illinois vs Southern Illinois, Pitt vs UCLA, Texas vs USC.
