The UC Bearcats beat Xavier 67-57 last night in the annual Crosstown Shootout which served as a tuneup for their Saturday showdown with Ohio State in Indianapolis. The game will be the first between the schools since 1962.

The game is part of the annual Wooden Tradition double-header however 96 year old Coach Wooden will not be in attendance.

You know it's great time to be a Buckeye Fan when sportsbooks are taking bets on whether or not OSU will win both the 2007 BCS Championship and the 2007 NCAA Basketball Championship. Looks like the experts at sportsbook.com think we've got a damn good shot at accomplishing the feat!

11W reader (okay, maybe that's a stretch) and Dispatch beat writer Bob Baptist has a nice piece on how Greg Oden has helped Othello Hunter improve his game. Hunter is now averaging 6.6 rebounds in 20 minutes per game. Not bad.
