USC took a large step towards ensuring their selection to the BCS championship game. Following their 44-24 victory over Notre Dame, only a season-ending matchup with crosstown rival UCLA stands between the Trojans and a date with the Buckeyes. Surfer Pete’s squad does some things well and they have a lot of team speed, but I couldn’t help thinking that the two teams I watched play tonight would finish 4th and 5th in the Big11Ten.
