Five-star 2027 quarterback Brady Edmunds commits to Ohio State.
Who could have possibly guessed Ohio State would shut out Purdue this past weekend? For the second straight year at Eleven Warriors, many people are saying "Dubcast knows ball!"
It's hard to find much to not celebrate and seriously critique following a 45-0 win over a 38-point underdog, which is exactly what the Buckeyes pulled off this past weekend. Johnny and I briefly recap the circumstances of OSU's latest win on this week's Eleven Dubcast before pivoting to a discussion on Gus Johnson's disappointing call of Jack Sawyer's scoop and score touchdown.
Later on during Ask Us Anything, that topic branches out into a larger examination of the recent trend of Ohio State playing as one of or the featured team in nearly every Big Noon Kickoff game. Will the Buckeyes ever play a conference game at night again?
Additionally, the Dubcast discussion also covers:
- While members of the Buckeye football journalism beat caught C.J. Hicks meandering off with several boxes of pizza, the Buckeye linebacker offered up that he needs to be put "on the f*cking edge." Does this letdown season for Hicks seem like an isolated incident or a reflection of a larger trend among linebacker talent under Ryan Day?
- Ask Us Anything — writers to dubcast@elevenwarriors.com this week inquired about many topics, such as what is the worst font and why?
- Ohio State men's and women's basketball have each gotten off to strong starts! Has Jake Diebler already figured out how to get consistent production from beyond the arc from this roster? Should fans calm down in comparing Jaloni Cambridge to JuJu Watkins?
- Week 11 in college football featured another setback for Georgia and Brian Kelly cementing himself as the James Franklin of the SEC.
- Michigan comes up short against Indiana as Connor Stalions fails his way upwards onto a high school playoff team's staff in hot pursuit of a coveted recruit for the Wolverines.
And that does it for the Dubcast this week! Watch the show now on YouTube above, listen via the mini player below or visit our Transistor page for links to other listening options such as Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and more.
