Welcome to the Skull Session.
Please allow me to continue the Monday Rapid Fire Skull Session tradition. There’s too much #content and not enough slots — what a great problem to have! I’m your Huckleberry. Just say when. Have a great Monday!

It’s time for the Big Dance!
THEY DID IT! THEY REALLY DID IT! For the first time in four years, Bruce Thornton and The World Famous Ohio State Buckeyes are in the NCAA Tournament.

Smilin’ through it all! I can’t believe this is my life!
THEY DID IT, TOO! The Ohio State women’s basketball team is dancing, too. Unlike the men, though, these Buckeyes are used to this. Jaloni Cambridge and company earned a No. 3 seed in the 2026 NCAA Tournament and will host first- and second-round games at the Schottenstein Center for the fourth straight year.

Of course, the annual second-round anxiety is already setting in. All-American Hannah Hidalgo and Notre Dame landed as the No. 6 seed, setting up the possibility of another brutal matchup. Maybe, though, the third time will be the charm for Kevin McGuff and his Buckeyes after back-to-back tournament runs ended in second-round disappointment.
GOIN’ DANCIN’. Eleven Warriors associate producer George Eisner and I discussed Ohio State’s NCAA Tournament draw during a special episode of 11W Live on Sunday. What’s a Horned Frog? Should you be scared of them? Should Jake Diebler? We don’t think so!
“THIS IS BAD, BAD FOOTBALL.” There are a million reasons to love Caleb Downs. Here’s another.
On a recent episode of the Downs 2 Business Podcast, Caleb and Josh Downs welcomed former Ohio State and current Cleveland Browns running back Quinshon Judkins to the show to discuss the Browns’ new head coach Todd Monken, quarterback Shedeur Sanders and more.
The “and more” included offensive line play. Downs claimed offensive linemen hold on every play, but Judkins disagreed.
“They literally teach people to hold,” Downs said. “There are people that teach you to grab the back of the shoulder pads.”
The two-time unanimous All-American then shared a specific school that teaches this philosophy.
“We played Michigan this year. You watch the film,” Downs said, making a grabbing motion. “I’m like, bro, this is bad, bad football.”
Michigan?
Cheating?
Who could have guessed?
“YOU CAN’T GO WRONG WITH OHIO STATE.” In another recent episode of Downs 2 Business, the Downs brothers welcome New Orleans Saints quarterback Tyler Shough on the podcast to share what would make Caleb the perfect fit for the Louisiana franchise. He did that — but he also expressed excitement over the team’s potential to land Carnell Tate.
“You can’t go wrong with Ohio State, whether it’s Caleb or Carnell,” Shough said with a smile. “I think he’s one of, if not the best receiver in the draft. What he’s been able to do, especially at that age, I think he’s only going to keep getting better. It’ll be a tough decision with these two guys. We’ll see what happens. I know he’d be a good get for sure.”
It would be a tough decision — that is, if Downs and/or Tate are available at No. 8. Personally, I don’t think either will be. But (!) if they are, I wouldn’t mind seeing them team up with Chris Olave and Chase Young in the Big Easy!
WAIT, WHAT NOW? In one of the stranger sports stories of 2026, an X account purporting to belong to Emeka Egbuka posted last week, “Is CTE even real?” The Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ communications account responded, “The below account is neither owned nor operated by Emeka Egbuka. It is in no way affiliated with Emeka or the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.” The original account, @EgbukaEmeka, has since been suspended.
This story has several strange layers.
Egbuka denied owning the account in an Instagram story last week, writing: “For anyone wondering, I haven’t had twitter since highschool. That account on X isn’t me [laughing emoji].”

That explanation raises some obvious questions. If the account wasn’t Egbuka’s, why did the Buccaneers tag the profile nearly 60 times since drafting him in April 2025? And why did the NFLPA follow the account?
Front Office Sports’ Ryan Glasspiegel reported Thursday that the Buccaneers’ social media team was apparently “duped” by the imposter account. According to Glasspiegel, the team began following the account shortly after drafting Egbuka and tagged it in posts throughout the past year. A team spokesperson declined to comment when Glasspiegel reached out for further explanation.
The account’s suspension appears to close the loop on the strange saga.
Overall, the situation was undeniably weird. But at the very least, Buckeye fans can be thankful that Egbuka himself wasn’t responsible for the original post.
