Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, high schools across the country were forced to shut down. Of course, that was no different here in Ohio, where the class of 2020 seniors saw their high school careers end early.

Despite a myriad of events that have been held for the seniors, communities across the state are still searching for more they can do to honor a graduating class that did not get to see it all the way through.

A coordinated effort by some of the state's top news stations, "Shoutout to the Class of 2020" will air next Saturday, June 6, at 7 p.m.

The celebration will be aired on WBNS (Columbus), WKYC (Cleveland), WLWT (Cincinnati), WFMJ (Youngstown), WTOL (Toledo), WHIZ (Zanesville) and WLIO (Lima), and will feature former Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer as the keynote speaker.

Former Buckeyes Jack Nicklaus and Archie Griffin will also offer words of encouragement, as will several other celebrities.
