Indiana forward Maya Makalusky and guard Shay Ciezki led the way for the Hoosiers in defeat with 21 and 12 points.

Trailing 12-6 in the first quarter, Ohio State made its move.

Forward Kylee Kitts sparked the Buckeyes off the bench, sticking back a missed shot and cashing in a later layup to fuel a 6-0 run to close the opening period. Then Jaloni Cambridge took over from the free-throw line.

She collected 10 points in the second quarter, eight of them from the charity stripe. Gray landed a trio of triples in the same period, including one kicked back to her after she missed initially and another contested rainbow to hand the Buckeyes a 36-24 lead at halftime.

Ohio State's full-court press smothered the Hoosiers in the first half, resulting in nine turnovers that led to 13 Buckeye points.

The lead kept expanding in the third quarter. A 10-0 Ohio State run took the edge to 46-29, with Jaloni Cambridge converting a layup through a foul. Gray kept her hand hot with another 3-pointer, making her 4-of-8 from distance to that point. Makalusky and Ciezki combined to shave the deficit back to 13, only for Cambridge to nail a jumper and guard Ava Watson to follow, making it a 17-point contest once more.

Two minutes later, a Watson steal and coast-to-coast layup capped a 7-0 run that took the lead past 20 points at 59-38. A Cambridge mid-range jumper closed the third period with a 61-40 lead for Ohio State.

The Buckeyes kept their foot on the gas in the final frame, outscoring the Hoosiers 22-19. Near the midpoint of the quarter, Ohio State held Indiana to no field goals for almost four minutes, with the Hoosiers' only points coming from the free throw line. A couple of IU 3-pointers near the end of regulation cut into the Buckeyes' lead, but Ohio State had an answer for each bucket, holding Indiana at bay.

With the win, Ohio State advances to the quarterfinals of the Big Ten Tournament, where it will face fourth-seeded Minnesota on Friday. Tipoff is at 6:30 p.m. on Big Ten Network.
