Big Noon Kickoff is coming back to Columbus.
The Big Ten announced Sunday that Ohio State’s Nov. 22 battle with Rutgers at Ohio Stadium will kick off at 12 p.m. and be televised on FOX. The Buckeyes will end the regular season with back-to-back appearances on FOX’s Big Noon Kickoff, as Ohio State’s season finale against Michigan will also air on the network in the same time slot.
Across its history, Ohio State is undefeated against Rutgers, beating the Scarlet Knights in all 10 of their meetings — typically in blowout fashion. The Buckeyes’ most recent meeting with the Scarlet Knights is also their closest contest, as Ohio State dispatched Rutgers 35-16 in Piscataway, New Jersey, on Nov. 4, 2023.
As has been the case for much of head coach Greg Schiano’s second stint in Piscataway, the Scarlet Knights enter the late-season clash on the bubble to reach a bowl game. Sitting at 5-5, which includes a 2-5 mark in Big Ten play, there will be a lot riding on this game for the Scarlet Knights, with both bowl eligibility and the potential to end their drought against Ohio State hanging over the Scarlet Knights.
With The Game looming over Ohio State's meeting with Rutgers, the Buckeyes look to make a good final impression ahead of their rivalry clash with Michigan at Michigan Stadium on Nov. 29.
