The Buckeyes are still the No. 1 team in the nation.
Ohio State remained No. 1 in this week's AP Poll and Coaches Poll, but Indiana and Texas A&M cut into its first-place votes following their dominant victories over UCLA and LSU. The Buckeyes were idle on Saturday as Ryan Day and his team had extra time to prepare for their Big Ten battle with Penn State on Nov. 1.
In the AP Poll, Ohio State earned 54 of 66 first-place votes (81.8 percent), while Indiana (11) and Texas A&M (1) received the rest. The Buckeyes, Hoosiers and Aggies are the top three teams in the poll, followed by Alabama and Georgia in the top five. Oregon, Ole Miss, Georgia Tech, Vanderbilt, Miami and BYU (tied for No. 10) rounded out the top 10.
Five Big Ten programs are ranked in the top 25: Ohio State, Indiana, Oregon, Michigan (No. 21) and USC (No. 23). The Big Ten tied the Big 12 for the second-most schools behind the SEC's nine. The SEC has nine ranked teams include Texas A&M, Alabama, Georgia, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, Tennessee (No. 14), Oklahoma (No. 18), Missouri (No. 19) and Texas (No. 20). The Big 12 features BYU, Texas Tech (No. 13), Cincinnati (No. 17), Houston (No. 22) and Utah (No. 24).

In the Coaches Poll, Ohio State earned 62 of 64 first-place votes (98.4 percent) to remain the No. 1 team. Texas A&M received the remaining first-place votes but stayed at No. 3 behind Indiana and ahead of Alabama and Georgia in the top five. Oregon, Georgia Tech, Ole Miss, Miami and BYU rounded out the top 10.
Four Big Ten programs are ranked in the top 25: Ohio State, Indiana, Oregon and Michigan (No. 21). The Big Ten’s four ranked schools trail the SEC and Big 12. The SEC has nine ranked teams: Texas A&M, Alabama, Georgia, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt (No. 11), Tennessee (No. 14), Oklahoma (No. 18), Texas (No. 19) and Missouri (No. 20). The Big 12 has five ranked teams: BYU (No. 10), Texas Tech (No. 13), Cincinnati (No. 16), Houston (No. 22) and Utah (No. 24).
